Tom Cruise is a numero uno top notch nut job...but I will probably watch this and enjoy it and add to his growing illuminati wealth pool. Where is the cliff...I am a lemming...and I must run toward it.
i'm a tom cruise fan. his acting is amazing and that's enough for me to interested. i never saw Wall-E. can someone explain the parallels?
The only similarity is that it seems to look like a lonely guy roaming the Earth like Wall-E the robot but people calling it Wall-E because of the shiny clean concept of the robot Eva that have the similar feel to the ship the Cruise is riding in. There's hardly any connection to it and Wall-E didn't invented that shiny looking/rendering tech first.

This really really looks to me like a trailer that gives away far too much of the movie. Anyone want to play 'guess the big twist of thew movie'? Tom Cruise is not really who he thinks he is, the 'people' he works for are not really human, humans didn't really win the war, they lost, and he is either a clone or brainwashed, or maybe he is even a machine of some sort, and so it will echo some of the themes of movies like Avatar and Total Recall, where the protagonist actually 'goes native' and fights against the group he was originally supposed to be fighting FOR. Etc etc. At least that's what it sure seems like from these previews. I will still be in my seat to see it, but dang I am hoping it doesn't turn out to be entirely predictable...
This just seems like one that is destined to get a 50-60% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not having high hopes, but at least it looks entertaining. And as others have said...I would have been 2000% more interested if it was an Elder Scrolls: Oblivion movie

The movie looks like crap, but then again, the trailer for the Matrix didn't look so promising either.
