Kubiak should be fired on the spot if we do not win next week. I don't care about excuses or so and so wasn't 100%. We win this game next week or Kubiak and Texans are dead to me, forever.
How'd you become a chef with this lack of self control? I think this game is pretty huge though. Home field advantage could very well hinge on it.
As a chef you have to meet the expectations of the clientele or you find another job. Its not about self control or losing your temper, there are things that are asked of you and you either deliver or you don't. One thing is for sure, I have little sympathy for defending teams or players making millions of dollars who only come to work when they choose to. That is not acceptable. You bring your best every time you play or you don't. And personally, I would fire someone on the spot if they didn't bring their best every night. You're not allowed to have an off night in my profession, you must be perfect every night so I expect the same thing from professional athletes considering how much they get paid. Needless to say, getting beat 42-14 is not acceptable to me as a fan. If we lose by a touchdown or an extra point, as long as we played our best it is acceptable to me. What happened tonight is not acceptable and everyone on the team including the coaching staff should be docked a pay check.
Really silly thing to say right there. Watched a lot of NFL football? Teams have come in with more than 3 wins to go to the superbowl. Texans are part of the elite now. No matter what anyone says, the elite teams are judged on what they do in the post-season. That's why no one even cares about our record or the Falcons record. They want to see what we do in the post season. I could care less if we lose out. Just win when it counts. I'd prefer to win every week of course, but I'm going to judge the team based on what they do in the post-season.
In fact, every one on the team should use that paycheck to pay for the Texans fans seats and hotel that traveled to see them play in New England. Those fans should have all of it refunded.
That's fine, and I understand that. But getting beat the way we got beat tonight is unacceptable. We're too good of a football team to get embarrassed like that. If Kubiak wants to tank games he should just gives guys the night off and tell the fans in advance that he's trying to tank a game, because fans pay good money to go to these games and SOME of them travel with the team to see them play. Its embarrassing to go to some other city like Boston and pay all of this money to get hotel and enormous ticket price only to witness your team tank the game. I feel cheated, tbh and I feel like the Texans should pay me money back.
I was supposed to be in Hartford this weekend...but wont get there till later this week...had to sell myfoxboro tickets...but i wouldve been soooo mad if i was actually at the game...
Well no one is excusing the loss...I didn't say he tanked it. They were just outclassed tonight, it can happen. It happened to the Jets a few years back and they returned the favor to the Pats the next time they saw them in the playoffs... Also you can't get your money back, it is what it is. All I am saying is this is just one more loss (2 total) and the season is far from over.
Yeah, you missed a hell of a game. Kubiaks running the ball on 2nd and 14 despite being down 21 points. Andy Reid will be losing his job for this going on for more than a decade in Philly, I only hope is that McNair will see Kubiak for what he is, absent minded professor who has little ability to hold his players accountable.
Outclassed? The Texans are supposed to be the class of the AFC now. Kubiak has had more than 6 years to make that happen. If we can't beat elite QB then we can't do it. Kubiak and Schaub need to step up to the plate and knock it out of the park against these teams, thats what the fans want to see. I don't buy tickets to see Texans play the Jaguars, I only buy tickets to see us play real teams and I expect us to deliver in those games.
Andre Johnson was in man coverage all night long, yet Kubiak kept handing the ball off to Foster for lost yards. It makes me think he tanked this game. I know he's an Aggie and aggie are supposed to be stupid, but he can't be this stupid. Not possible. When you have AJ in man coverage and can't take advantage of it it means you suck as coach or your QB sucks. One or the other, maybe both.
Playoffs. Beating the Pats now wouldn't mean a thing if they lost to them at home in the playoffs....That's all I have left to say about it really. Texans are past being judged on regular season games.
Damn you're a fair weather fan. You pulled this pathetic rant on the Rockets as well. Just GTFO dude...you're pathetic.
A fairweather fan doesn't buy $2000 dollar seats to watch his team play. Sorry, but that tag does not apply to me.
There are no must-win games until the playoffs. Sure, it's a much easier path to the SB as the #1 seed as opposed a wild card team. But plenty of WC teams reach the Super Bowl. And plenty of #1 seeds get knocked out before then. I'm going to stay on an even keel until the Texans lose, if they lose, in the playoffs. However, I've repeatedly said earlier in the season that the Texans main obstacle is whether or not they can stop prolific pass offenses with their lack of pass rush and man coverage. And after the GB game, the Detroit game, and now the NE game, I still haven't seen anything to suggest they can.
Didn't Dan Orlovsky light us up around this time last season when we are still fighting for home-field, on primetime television in Indianopolis when the Colts were 1-11? I thi And then Cam Newton did the same around this time last season in Houston? Our defense, offensive line and Foster are all worse than last season too. Don't be so confident.
Being as you are a chef, how will you prepare your crow in January? Inquiring minds would like to know.
I want that #1 seed. I do not want the Texans to go to NE or Denver for a playoff game. With that in mind, all three remaining games are must-wins. If NE wins out and HOU drops one, then I believe NE gets the top seed b/c they own the tiebreaker. Fortunately I think the Texans schedule is a bit easier than the Patriots...New England has to play San Francisco this Sunday night.
