I am late to the party as usual. I enjoyed the fight a lot. I'm a relatively new fan to the sport, and have found a great new interest.

Some seem to be making comments as if Pacquiao didn't look like he'd close the fight out in the 7th or 8th round at the current way it was going there in the 6th. JMM was busted up man. Hell of a shot though eh? That's why you fight until you hear the bell. I sure as hell didn't hear it when it happened, haha. I went from astonishment, to concern for Pac, then once I saw him sit up and flash a small smile, I was happy for JMM. Vindication for him at last.

Getting stronger at the age of 39 is fishy as some of you allude to. Either way, I am so glad it was a fun fight to watch. After sitting through those undercards...UGH.

Not really fishy if you think about it. Boxers NEVER lift weights, for all the obvious reasons, it's a cardinal sin.

However, JMM specifically DID heavy lifting (for the first time in his career) for this fight. JMM put on the muscle because he knew he had to have the KO.

    He got his KO.

Did you know that you get stronger if you lift weights? That's common sense not fishy.

give credit to JMM. you can break his nose but you can't put him to sleep. the only thing he was missing to beat Manny was power, and he somehow he was able to get that strength. no question he can hit Manny, he did that in the last 3 fights, but Manny was strong enough to take it. But this time, JMM was prepared. He was so patient, he did not throw a lot of punches. He timed Manny perfectly, and with his new "power", he got his KO.

JMM is smarter, Pacman is quicker and stronger, that's the only talent he got. his brains come from his coaches.

People think JMM must be juicing because they're used to seeing overweight has beens at age 35. That's the norm around here, but not reality. You can still improve your body at 39m especially if you do something different than usual. Plus, if you look at JMM's body, his legs are puny. All the muscle mass was gained at the arms and upper back, but primarily the shoulder. He looks a lot bigger because the shoulders are classic beach muscles. They pop, just like with Dwight Howard. Nothing shady about it. Just an illusion mixed in with some heavier lifts. More than likely he did punching drills with extra resistance.

That physique seems fishy. Sorry, but guys don't just magically get that much bigger at that age. Add the fact that his new strength and conditioning coach has supplied athletes with PEDs in the past and then you have something really fishy.

Wanderlei Silva mentality. I love fighters like this. I'd rather play an action game than a point-and-click RPG when it comes to fights

Lifting weights/cross training, whatever JMM did it seemed to work pretty fast in a span of 8 months???? His last fight before Manny part 4 bout was on April...

Like i said, he's all deltoids and maybe some more oblique development. Half a year of heavier lifting can get you those results. Everything else is not a significant increase in muscle mass. 3-4 months worth of work, at most.

Sure, I read that too. And it's great for boxing if he does fight twice. But like I said, I'll believe it when I see it. This is going against Mayweathers own logic. If you watched his last 24/7, he explained why he doesn't fight more times in a year. Pretty much said there needs to be enough time for recovery, promotion and training. Fights in May and September don't seem to follow that plan. So we'll see. May 5th for sure, but September? Not so sure about that one. Sounds more like a posturing move to me. But I'd love to see it.

I think Viloria/Marquez and Juanma/Salido were both better. Rios/Alvarado probably was too.

He wasn't fighting twice a year for tax reasons. That's the honest truth.

I didn't see the first two you mentioned, but that last one, although a heck of a fight to watch, they just stood and slugged it out. I don't remember the fight in much detail, but they didn't strike me as defensive minded at all. As in, they didn't care to avoid damage.

Sure, makes a fun fight to watch, but fight of the year material? I'd have to disagree. I'll have to go find those other two fights now though :)

Agreed with all. Although not on as big a stage, all three were better. Marquez-Pacquiao IV is right behind those. YouTube those fights if you haven't seen them.
