I dont know why the Texans think that one on one with AJ vs anyone is gonna be an issue...punish teams for doing that...like its not like he is Revis...who runs against 8 in the box...the Texans do....
This reminded me of the Green Bay game. Just can't spot a good team a big league. The Texans can come back against the Jags and Lions, but against the GB and Pats it's a different story. Need to jump out to an early lead (like at Denver) or play stout defense (at Chicago).
If im not mistaken...the Colts are a playoff team and the Vikings are in the hunt...that means 3 playoff caliber teams...3...that is not easy
I know Kubiak wants a balanced offense, but when you're down 3 scores, quit trying to run the ball on 2 and 10 or whatever it was. They have to know that they will eventually have to throw the ball around until they catch up right? I mean there has to be a game plan where we can line up 5 wide and just sling the ball right?
After the miserable start being 21, Got to give props to Wade for having his defense making some really good defensive stops and gave the offense so many chances to get something going...and our offense stunk..turn over on downs twices...and punts
Yes, but we just can't do this against good teams. The Texans came out flat-footed and missed opportunities (gave up 3 and long conversions, penalties, didnt take advantage of the fumble). Once you give a good team a 3 touchdown lead, it's pretty much over.
Same people whining about Kubiak's play calling are probably the same people that whine when he doesn't go for it on fourth downs. *Not directed at anyone in particular.
The Vikings are not very good and if the Texans cannot beat the Colts, they do not deserve the #1 seed. The Colts have only beaten 2 winning teams this season, one of which is a mediocre Viking team that would be 9th and out of the playoffs is the season ended today. New England has to play the 49ers next week. Denver has to travel to Baltimore. If the Texans cannot beat the Colts and Vikings they do not deserve the #1 seed.
I'm ready for the playoffs to start. Just get this **** going. Tired of overreacting and judging what happens in the regular season. If you want to judge anything about this team, gotta do it based on how they perform in the playoffs.
Our offense and offense personnel is not built that way. First off, Schaub is not that type of QB. Second , who are you going to send out there outside of AJ? Remember , you cant run play-action in a 5 wide set...so who is going to get open in a 3 or 5 step drop? Walter lol? Owen Daniels ? When the other team is playing the pass, w/o running play action, 3 or 5 step drop? Nope, not going to happen on a 80 yard drive.
The Texans are just not very good on primetime. The other primetime games that Houston has been on this season have not been very good results. They barely squeezed out a win vs. the Jets (23-17), got crushed by Green Bay on Sunday night, got crushed tonight by the Patriots. They did have a good game vs. the Bears but I think you can say Houston got lucky considering how Cutler was out in the 2nd half.
Appreciate the honesty. While in Oakland he gave up first downs (PIs). Silver lining: they weren't TDs ala Kareem in his early years.
