1. Our prime ball handler would be JLin 2. Our second option would be The Beard 3. Patricia wouldn't be shooting threes, but his comfort zone, the 6-7 footer 4. Jones would see more minutes than Patricia 5. The ball would have been moving like an oiled engine 6. Asik would have been 2nd in assists (team) 7. Motiejunas and White would have seen the floor at least 5-10 times 8. Timeouts would have been called at the right time (after a small run by the opposing team, etc) 9. We would have seen more dunks by Chandler Parsons 10. Our record would have been 13-7 right now too early? probably...but I do miss Rick...you just knew what he was about... I am still trying to figure out what McHale stands for and am willing to give him a chance..
In Rick's system, the ball is spread out a lot more. Lin wouldn't necessarily be running the pick and roll like he likes to do. The offense would run more corner offense sets with Asik and Patterson spreading the ball around to shooters and cutters from the elbow.
I think RA would be far better with the timeouts and substitutions vs. KM. RA's percentage of successful drawn up plays coming out of a timeout were also more effective. I'm still trying to figure out where KM's strengths are. Not against him it's just merely that he's been mediocre so far in the real-time game strategy department. The silly mistake's by players could be anticipated and coming into this season there was no doubt we'd make a lot of them. (and oh boy we have). Hopefully KM finds his rhythm as a coach. It seems to me that being a head coach requires more than being a nice guy and a great former player and it's going to take some time to find out if he can come into his own.
