It wasn't like Cam lit us up. 13-23, 149 yards. He did have a couple of big runs though.

Put this in perspective, do you think any team can beat Brady 2x in 1 season? The answer is no. We'll see these guys again. we sharted our big boy pants, moving on to Indianapolis.

Kubiak is fine as a head coach as long as we have a decent defensive coordinator. I think Bob McNair will make sure we always have a good defensive coordinator as long as Kubes is around. He is in it for the long haul, though, in my opinion. He is a good coach. I'll say it again: Gary Kubiak is a good coach.

One game means nothing. He wasn't out there throwing a couple dumb flags, or comitting a few dumb turnovers. He wasn't blowing coverage or missing tackles. He didn't miss a couple throws he should have had.

Maybe he didn't call his best game (I don't see a problem at all with the game he called...don't know why all the Kubiak hate), but I'd still take him over a lot of the coaches in the league.

Good post. I pretty much feel the same way you do about Houston sports teams. We're just destined to suck at everything, either man up and accept it or turn the tv off.

i'll try not to listen to radio. it's going to be unbearable like some of the "fans" that claim to be fans are being right now.

the reality of it all is that we had no answer to their blitzes. I had not seen NE blitz so much since they played denver, and they were getting to schaub. 8 was rattled, it happens to all of them when the D is on like that. You move on. just another loss and i trust that adjustments will be made accordingly. Take the first ravens meeting from last year. they obliterated us from both trenches...in the playoffs we won the trenches.

If you're a fair weather fan go buy yourself a broncos jersey. us true fans will be disgusted with tonight's performance but we know in the playoffs all things can happen.

Are you kidding me?? Kubes called a terrible game. He kept running it on 2nd and 10, pretty much every possession despite the fact that the Patriots were playing man coverage ALL NIGHT LONG.

I realize we're a running team but the run wasn't working, thats when you need your so called elite QB to step up and lead the team to victory. Both Kubes and Schaub disappeared even faster in this game than they did against Green Bay, just sad.

The season is a journey of up and downs. However, I think we all know how this story ends. The villian (Brady/Manning) will get the last laugh.

To win a Super Bowl you HAVE TO HAVE two of the following : elite defense or great QB. We have neither.

The only thing left to watch this season is how the future of the divison will go. Luck vs Texans.

I'm not going to slam the Texans too badly. They have shown great poise this season against Detroit and Jville and huge wins against Denver, Baltimore, and Chicago.

But for fck sakes when you look forward to a game all week along on a national stage is it too much to at least make it somewhat competitive?!

I know we have injuries but the pass rush has been non existent save the Tenn game for over a month now. And when the pass rush isn't working the defense is getting shredded.

We need home field badly, time to STOMP the Colts.

Thoughts on the game...all the talk about the Texan Defense and Patriot Offense....What was shocking that the NE defense dominated us...thats why Bill's a damn good coach...talking a TO after the Arian Foster run with 14 min left in the 1Q...do you think Kubiak wouldve ever done that??? Anyways...This confirms everyone worst fears...QBs with big accurate arms are gonna shred us...Big arms like Ben, Jay not so much...its the accurate ones that will destroy this team...we have to get tighter on coverage...

To learn to beat the Patriots its about doing what the Giants D did...slow him enough...cause no one is gonna stop the machine...just have to slow him down...The Texans didnt do that..

Last point, The Patriots OL neutralized the defense just enough to render the defensive front irrelevant...and with Brady zipping balls to his receivers it was good night early...Playing man against top tier QBs also may not be the way to go...you have to switch a lot...and the front 7 has to make tackles on RBs and short dump.screen routes...

Congrats to the Pats...On to the next one...and final goal...maintain the #1 seed by taking care of business the rest of the way...its clear we really need the #1 seed...not only for the home crowd...but we need the slightly easier/lower ranked team...(btwn Denver and the Patriots...i dont even know...its pick your poison)

Perfectly fine statement that I would agree with.

Losing Cushing was a huge blow to this team. McCain being lost was another big blow. Alan Ball, believe it or not (I never thought I'd say this) was missed tonight, too. Brooks Reed.

On the other side of the ball, Garrett Graham has become an underrated part of our offense, and his absence hurt our short yardage game, both passing and running.

This team has injuries that are starting to build. When we get Brooks Reed back, I'll be curious to see if we play Barwin a little less and Mercilus a little more to generate more of a pass rush. The secondary needs to get healthy quick. Those youngsters may eventually put it together, but they're not looking too great right now. If Stanford Routt returns to Raiders form, it could be the biggest thing to happen to this team in a long while.

    The injuries guys.

The injuries have reared their ugly heads.

No more next man up. It's time to man up or shut up.

Glad to see the Texans will get a chance to prove it when it counts in 4 weeks.

"...the Patriots don't lose, and the Texans showed up in letterman jackets...and played like the jv team."

    That was kinda funny lol.

You say throw all day on man coverage, I say work some runs to set up the play-action to get someone to bite in man coverage. Kubiak is smarter than both of us. I trust what he says.

Fact of the matter is, we shot ourselves in the foot from the get go. Schaub had some plays he left on the field, and that hurt us a ton. I'm not trying to blame this game on him (we gave up how many points?), but I don't understand how you can blame this game on Kubiak.

Two penalties in the first half kept Patriots drives alive when they should have punted or gone for long field goals. Schaub throws an interception on a long throw to the end zone when he could have checked down to Foster. All in the first half. How is Kubiak to blame for any of this?

He's got this team to 11-2 and you want him fired? Lmao.

It was one game.... On the road and NE needed the game more than the Texans.

The Texans still control their own destiny and have the easiest road to the SB in the NFL. There is no guarantee that the Texans will face NE in the playoffs. If the Texans get the #1 record they probably get the crumbling Ravens and Denver and NE meet... Not sure NE matches up as well against Denver... We very well could only need to go through Baltimore and Denver to reach the Super Bowl... And we match up well against both teams.
