I never saw our whole team soo fired up. Did you see our bench just going crazy? Even Douglas started to make the shots. It was sooo beautful to see. Linsanity is team basketball at its best.

You tried hard to be appear objective but your slip is showing. IIRC, Lin even blocked 2 shots of Green.

Nevertheless, Lin's last play in regulation was awful. But great game over-all for the team as compared to their last vs the spurs.

Yes, it's all on the coaching. It's never what the opposition's defense is doing

It's not just tonight anyway. We're dead last in D. Something that needs to be worked on.

Agreed. The team's transition, perimeter, and paint defense really needs to improve.

It's why it's stupid to just look at that stat without analyzing the game and coverage a little more deeply whether it's Harden or Lin we're talking about. Every game coverage gets switched because of picks etc. Lin had some great defensive stands tonight and worked his butt off rebounding like he always does.

We have good team...looking good. We need to put more effort on defense but this kind of game is a good learning experience.

I think our coaching staff would be forced to device something so Lin and Harden can co-exist. I've been hoping for this...exciting!!

Yes, it's a loss, but I love the great effort our guys put in.

Before the game everyone was expecting a Spurs blow-out. But we were able to force them into OT even with Parker's triple-double. Lin got his shots back, no one was injured despite Morris bumping into Duncan's mental knee brace & Lin turning his ankle, Asik made a jump shot, and Lin blocked a pass to the 6'11" Duncan at the rim. It was awesome effort by the team. Good enough for me.

Yep. I've made that point before. If Asik could be a better finisher, and develop a midrange jumper, and a hook shot, you'll see a totally different team.

Asik played great tonight...but damn he need's to finish better...easy 3 or 4 additional baskets that could have been the Rockets. We'll with more touches he'll probably get better. Let's hope the coaches can make this Lin/Harden thing work....there's no reason games like this and the first two games of the season can't be the norm....multiple players in double digits.

Probably right to take him out but left him out too long. Would never have taken Harden out.

Harden's D is average, maybe slightly above average. His effort on D is often directly affected by how many fouls he's playing with.

Lin did play good defense tonight, but so did TD much of the time. Bottom line is just looking at players and which opposing player of the same position scored however many points isn't the best way to analyze the defensive effectiveness of a player.

did you watch the game? Lin was on the bench for 5 min in the 4th qtr. Spurs would've blown it out if he had not come back. Rocket would have won if coaches call some god damn pick n rolls in the 4th and if only Asik could dunk or finish those easy ones off those under the rim assists.

I haven't been that excited since...the very first time I watched him play against the Nets as a Knick and was cutting them up.

I actually began my ritual yelling when he hit that deeep 3. That was when I knew Linsanity would be back lol.

You know he was feeling it when he hit that with his swag. Notice when Lin gets his confidence, he hypes up his team to all play better. Everyone started to hit their shots as well.

I can't really be mad at him resting for a bit at the 4Th, after driving so much to the basket - he would deserve a few minutes, but I think he rested a min too long though. They needed Lin's defence.

As for Harden playing with Lin, they have to share the ball duties somehow. Lebron and Wade learned to do it together. Something has to give.

Yup this needs to be addressed. This whole season it's unfathomable how bad our D has been. I'm shocked.

    Lol,

Lin got Asik a mismatch against a 6'4 guard in OT and he tried to do a ballerina-layup and missed. It was painful to watch.

ON to the next game. Let's get a win on Wednesday night against the Wizards. Texans need Wade to come up wiith a game plan on D for the elite QBs of the league(getting back players healthy on D would help). Bad night for Houston teams.

Howard Chen just tweeted that Lin's feeling down for blowing the final possession in regulation. What a humble, team-first guy!!
