Most of Lin's points were off isolations and pick and rolls. Very similar to when Harden has high scoring games.

When Harden had 45 points, it was very much iso ball, but Lin still had 21. Everyone scored a lot tonight.

Lin's ISOs are as good as Harden's....just that he doesn't have the height and vertical leap advantage. If Lin's jumpers are as good as tonight....Harden and Lin will be very good together. This game proves that Lin can definitely be a second option after Hardin. Most fun game to watch by far this season....

He put up 8 points and 3 assists in the 4th quarter. And that without Asik's blown lay ups.

Not sure I'd call that a "no show" ...

As much as you are trying to be objective, you have to get the facts straight. His defense was rock solid tonight. TD was the one guarding Parker.

Yeah, I blame that on Lin. He underestimated how good of a defender Green is. Hope he learns from it.

Our offense is so damn sticky, it's frustrating to watch us take such difficult shots over and over. Our defense is so damn porous-- I don't know which is more frustrating, the O or D. Wish we'd've called TO and tried to execute something at the end of regulation. The guys were running on fumes at that point. Ah, well, it's a long season. We have some young talent, and hope springs eternal.

It's so nice to see team basketball.

I hope they can keep this up.

no show in the fourth quarter? are you kidding me? He was carrying the team - until McHale took him out.

No one played good defense tonight. The team as a whole had ****ty defense. Lin included. There were many plays where Douglas was guarding Tony Parker. But Lin was holding Neal, who had 7 threes.

I thought Lin guarded Parker pretty well tonight. Most points Parker scored are on TD. Harden's D is not good because he doesn't put effort and your know it. I don't care if he can score 10 points in 2 min if he's also going to give up 10 points in 2 min.

It's called Lisanity ,, it's not just one player. Its a collective effort. IF everyone buys in, everyone will benefit.

I think Toney had twenty-something in a row, recently snapped.

Agreed. That was the turning point in the game. NcHale should have taken a page out of D'Antoni's playbook and ridden him like frickin' Secretariat.

Far too many linlovers and linhaters. Sucks the life and intelligence out of the forums. Looks like our guys competed very well without our franchise player in. Something the TMac led rockets could not do when tmac was hurt.

This is just one game but cant we be happy that the first game harden is out we put on a great game against the leagues best?

Avg age of 23 calm the freak down everyone. We could easily be the washington wizards of the west. Be glad we have a group of youngsters that can pull out some wins

Spurs moved the ball well and abused our defensive rotations. Neal was wide open for almost all of those 3's.

Nice breakout game for Lin and Asik.
Like the energy from Douglas, Morris, and Smith.

An overtime loss is actually a WIN for the Rox. Spurs is the team Rockets wish they can become one day. Flawless ball movement, with excellent penetrators/shot blocker/pure shooters. That's why they are so hard to beat.

Now the key is how the coaching staff mix and grow all the talent we got. :)

The spread on shots taken tonight was good. Every starter had at least 10 shots.

He was not trying to be objective, it's Lin's criticism in disguise.

As Rick bucher pointed out, Lin needs the ball to be effective. It was on full display tonight. How will McHale utilize both. That is the question.
