Looking forward to the Asik-Smith-2Pat-Parsons-Uglas lineup as sarcastic McHale give the fans the size they wanted. No Alexander mandate to inflate Harden's numbers this game, so it's the perfect opportunity to go all sarcastic extreme on size on the fans to prove another point.

Thank you for reminding. I actually checked the ESPN interview with Matt Winick, who is the schedule guy. Two things stand out:

    1. His college degree is in accounting, far from the advanced degree that's ideal for this type of work: mathematics/statistics.

    2. Isn't that amazing that he is the only person, all by himself, to actually make the schedule, not a group of people of experts/statisticians, not even with a sophisticated computer model?

    From the ESPN interview: (http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/19219/how-to-build-the-nba-schedule)

"How much has technology changed this job? Is there software that does most of it? Is there a group of you sitting around a conference table in New York during early August with pizza boxes everywhere?"
    "The group is me. "

    "You are the group?"
"I am the group. There's a computer program I work with that helps. But basically it's me -- and the computer prevents me from doing stupid things."

I just laughed when I read the above. You would think the NBA schedule is much more complicated and scientifically designed since there has been so much complaining about it. It turns out it is created by one guy of accounting major sitting behind his desk without even using much computer. How ironic.

The whole interview and the self education process just verified my suspicion and strengthened my belief that NBA is doing a terrible job of making its schedule by hiring unqualified/incompetent personnel. No wonder the schedule is so ridiculous.

Harden is out I hear and Parsons shoulder is hurt affecting his shooting. Also Asik has been hurting and having trouble hanging onto passes. Looks like a rough offensive night unless Delfino and some others step up. Hopefully their team defense will be better on switches and they don't get blown out. Be interesting to see Lin and TD play together. Also be nice to see some bench players shine!!

    Go Rockets!!!

I wish I had a computer program that prevents me from doing stupid things.

There is no point playing Harden if he is not 100%, it was a blowout even he's healthy last Fri. He deserves a much needed rest after carrying the team most of the time.

Hope to see better start from Parsons/Lin/Asik/Patterson and Smith with some real action (not garbage time). A single digit loss can be considered a win to me.

The best part of blowouts are Clutch's Terrence Jones highlight videos. Silver lining ftw

You think they try to make the schedule to be fair to all NBA teams? LMAO.

They make the schedule to maximize their profits from things like marquee matchups on national TV. Look at nationally televised games on the Rockets schedule. They are all games where they thought Lin vs other team's PG would generate interest. I think Minnesota is the last national televised game. Notice how it's late in the season so there is a better chance Rubio comes back and plays in that game.

Damn the game is on Fox Sports SW here in the RGV, which means Spurs announcers. Is the game audio streaming on 790? That way I can turn off the audio on Spurs AHoles.

The timing couldn't be worse to experiment with Lin. Against the one of the best teams in the league, and with Rockets players hurt.

Finally going to see what Lin can do by himself. I think when Harden goes to the bench, some type of line up with Lin leading the way should be implemented.

I hope he doesn't fall on his face.

Lin better get going early or Parker will abuse him once again. I hope Lin brings it tonight.

Is it me or Lin doesn't seem to have the confidence on his face in the warm up pic? :(
