I've been sorta bashing Lin lately been their really was no reason for him to be benched in the last game. My only thought is he should've been more aggressive when Fisher was in the game.

Agree with your analysis. It's obvious that McHale loves Parsons. Who wouldn't when you have a player like him? Tough, smart, hard-working, very coachable, willing to do all the little things you need him to do, always improving his skills.

I think Parsons has chemistry with Lin. It's better to have them play together. The miscommunication between Parsons and Douglas in the game may not have happened if it was Lin playing alongside.

I also think Harden has developed chemistry with Lin despite the ball/no ball issue others have mentioned. The future of this team depends on the bonding of the starting core: Harden, Lin, Parsons, and Asik. So the Coaches have got to find a way to have them play and develop together. Look how Spurs have done it over the years.

The Usurping theme that lost the team two fantastic players (Dragic, Lowry) should not repeat itself again unless the franchise has made up its mind to trade/get rid of certain player. Now the team has got its core, it should stick to develop its core through thick and thin.

Not playing a starter in the final minutes of a close game sends a very, very strong signal. :(

The coaches cut Lin last year and are probably still trying to prove they were right in doing so. A Disaster for the team the fans and Lin.

I lost faith for the coaches. The don't trust Lin and use Lin in the wrong way. I hope Lin is traded to Laker.

Harden+Douglas has a better +/- stat than Harden+Lin thus far. Small sample size, yes, but that's what the stats reflect so far.

NOT saying Douglas is a better player than Lin, but he's a better spot-up shooter (given Lin's shooting slump) and doesn't need the ball in his hand all the time to be effective.

conspiracy theories are the hallmark of the desperate and mentally unstable.

...maybe Lin just isn't all that good?

Without a doubt he's struggling with his shots, but we've seen what he can do. It remains a fact that no one has ever scored more points in his first 5 NBA starts than Lin. He rebounds well for his position, is top 15 in the NBA in steals, and would have had a higher assist rate had the team shot better with the passes he dished out. Not saying his game is polished or elite by any means, but I think Lin is just a consistent shot away from being a very good player.

Defino, who has the best +/- stats right now on the team, makes everyone better. :)

With +/- stats, you can look at any player combination (5-player, 4-player, etc.). When looking at 2-player combination, Harden+Douglas has better +/- than Harden+Lin.

Again no knock on Lin (who IMO is much better than Douglas), this is just what the stats show right now. Better +/- combo doesn't mean 1 player is better than another, sometimes it just means it's a better combination because the players complement each other.

Except Lin wasn't cut because we didn't think he was good, he was cut because we had no roster space. In fact, our coaches praised and liked him a lot.

We also had Lowry/Dragic, so we weren't looking for a PG anyways.

Like Ive been stating for weeks, its his confidence, its a roller coaster: high and low. If he cant get it together between his ears, then hes no good to us. I wish his contract was a 1 year deal but thank God its only 3 and not 5.

Well they obviously have no confidence in him and benched him against Dallas when he was playing well. The team however was playing poorly - Kaman had 8 points already and Mayo had 5 - Lin was not guarding either. Asik fumbled 2-3 passes that could have been easy buckets and Parsons was bricking 3 pointers because of his shoulder.

I've said from the beginning of the season that the coaches pull Lin too quickly whether he's playing well or not. I have been criticised by a lot of peple for this and called a LOF. It should be clear now that for some reason (probably just stupidity) they have a problem with Lin and prefer playing TD who is not as good an all around player and who has been burned in at least 2 games causing us to lose.
