Are the bolters anyone major, or are they just anticipating the worst? I don't know who Savage is, unless that's a nickname for Savaiinaea. I'll admit I'm fascinated by Mitchell, his combination of size (6'4", 220) and speed (high 4.3s) would be awesome for the Aggies. Everything I've heard has him going to Ohio St. though.
Yeah that is Savaiinaea and I agree we dont have much shot at Mitchell ... Other than Griffin I dont think they are expecting losses that are going to hurt much (one is a mutual decision to go elsewhere from a Juco I guess)
One of the Juco guys? Clear, Flowers, or Stuckey? Clear has awesome size for a TE, but they might have to make him a tackle since there's not a lot of TE play in Sumlin's offense. Stuckey has would be a good backup in case Joeckel leaves. I guess if they lose one, I hope it's Flowers.
No I forot who it was but it wasnt a big name ... I think Robinson? Also most are assuming Kohl Stewart is going MLB since he is likely to be a top 10 pick, but at least we have another good qb in the class
Yeah that kid from Southlake, Hill I think it is, has really looked good this season. I wish Stewart would hang around, but hey I wouldn't turn down the money he's likely to get. I wonder why the Aggies still can't seem to catch up to the Longhorns when it comes to recruiting OLs though. I suppose since they've gone to the no huddle, they don't recruit the huge guys UT gets, but still. I guess Aguilar and Gustafson are a good start when combined with Matthews last year.
Yeah, totally agree on that front. They always stood the most to lose. And I'm glad. I'd rather Texas players go play for TCU, UH or Baylor than OU. Not Tech though.
Looking like A&M might have commits from the top 4 LBs in the state for 2014 (Expecting a committ today or soon for one of them) and are high on the list if not leading for several of the top DBs in the state for 2014. The return of the real wrecking crew might not be that far away.
Already picked up Collins, the CB from Dallas, and the OLB Walker from Gilmer, and I know the kid from La Porte (Scott) had the Aggies as his frontrunner and was set to declare. Just looking around, I see there's a bunch of LBs, both inside and outside, from around the state the Aggies are looking at. Are you alluding towards someone like Whitley from North Shore?
i just checked the 2013 schedule. it's not out of the question that aggies could would SEC West next year. They have 'bama at home but LSU away. Other than that I think they would be favored.
Yeah supposedly RSJ is likely going to Committ on Monday and Hoza Scott is going to announce to A&M on the 12th, which would both be huge if true. It was thought that Cameron Hampton (2014 ILB) might committ today, but I guess he decided to hold off, but A&M is supposedly in the top position. Pretty nice offer list ... http://rivals.yahoo.com/tamu/footba...pton-137690;_ylt=AiB_.kUWBsq1y7ewnx1JzL9Bt5B4 All of this is from a premium site, so take it for what its worth
I find it interesting that the Aggies are still going after Tony Stevens. They must think he's a soft commit for the Seminoles. They're really going after the wideouts this year. I would imagine they plan on a couple (RSJ, Williams) playing first year while letting the others (Tabuyo, Adeboyejo, Parker, Luper) redshirt. Sezer... I'm not sure where they play him. Awfully small but he's talented. Kickoff returner so Williams can save himself for full time offense? Gonzalez is another one like that. Bit bigger then Sezer, but not as fast. I wonder if he can play corner?
Flattered that our assistant coaches are good enough to possibly get hired as head coaches? Not convinced they go aftef him as hard as they could. A 33 year year old head coach? The TT admin might be uncomfortable with that.
RSJ now officially an A&M commit. Alexander looking more and more like a possibility (not probable, but possible). Still waiting to hear on Savage. Still though:
Reuben Foster, the top LB in the country, recently decommitted from Auburn and is going to take an official visit to A&M in the near future. It is crazy how the SEC, the Heisman, and winning have taken recruiting to an unbelievable level. This one will be a UGA-A&M battle butnone of our Wideout recruits is a good friend of his so hopefully that helps us.
Good lord, i was posting earlier that day from my phone. She needs to look at the Heismen a little bit closer.
