Lidge is retiring.

 

Dodgers signed Grienke for 147 million and the Korean pitcher Ryu today. They now have 8 starting pitchers on the roster and there are rumors that they might not be done. Should go into next year with a $220-250 million dollar payroll not counting stuff like the 25 million posting fee for Ryu. With a soon to be 6-7 billion dollar tv deal bringing in ~$250 a year this may be the new norm for them.

and this is why the Royals are bottom feeders.. smh trade away top prospects for 2 years of james shields.

 

Wasn't Montgomery one of the best pitching prospects not so long ago?

And Myers will become a stud for the Rays, selling high on James Shields, nicely done.
