Crappers, if Cassell is 5 billion times better than JLin and I think JLin is about 5 times better than me when I play. That makes me 25 billion times worse than Cassell.

    That sucks.

He had some clutch moments last year so not sure if its the competition thats making him choke here I just think hes got a major self confidence problem or hed be more aggressive and drive to the hole more often I dont use punctuation either it will just me down

Rubio can shoot? And good shooting on day one? Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Chuck Nevitt didn't enter the league as the great shooters they later became.

Morey can't make money off Lin when he sucks this much. 24 million investment went down the drain when they traded for Harden. Can't have 2 people on the court at the same time demanding the ball

He has to shoot at least decently. His jump-shot is as horrible as Chuck Hayes' free throws a few years back. It's that bad. I can't think of any other player who is as disengaged from the offense simply because they can't shoot.

He's getting better. 2-3 in 3's (and 2-4 overall if you count the shot he has to put up in 0.4 second to beat the shot clock). Technically he shot better than Delfino, who was 3-11 last night.

I know I know, he needs to do that consistently. But hey, 2 out of 3 in treys is a step in the right direction, right? :)

Just give up on the kid already. Management has no use for him, coaches are not playing him, our star player can't play with him, and fans in Houston hate him.

Trade him for a bag of chips or something. The Rockets didn't give up any assets to get him anyway.

    Then everybody can move on.

Should have picked up Derek Fisher when he was available.

    Actually it's improving.

    Last game - .500 FG%
    Last 10 games - .406 FG%
    Season - .381 FG%

    80% FT

His shooting still isn't great, and it's still inconsistent, but it is improving. 4/7 games he shot over .500, 5/7 over .400.

Given his active work ethic and direction of improvement, I'm not worried.

Hi Torocan, stupid noob question if you wouldn't mind - where do you get your stats? I've explored nba.com, 82games and basketball-reference but am convinced there are better stats sites out there.

The problem is he can't shoot. The only shots he is taking are when he driving in. That is why his fga are so low. There are very few pg who will make it without a jump shot.

I look at information from a number of sites, as well as manually crunch data if there's something specific I'm trying to extract.

NBA.com, 82games, basketball reference, hoopdata, synergy sports, tidbits dropped from interviews, especially those referring to Stats LLC and SportsVu (the data acquisition company for 10 teams).

And then there are multiple analytic number crunchers that work on various blogs and sites as well as published material from conferences like the Sloan Analytics conference.

My take on Jeremy is to look at him based on the number of NBA games he's played. I look at him as maybe a second year player that is talented but has a lot to develop. So, I have to show patience and the coaches may bench him at times. The contract is because of the unique way he came into and lit up the league. The media attention is because of his unique story. None of that has anything to do with him as a basketball player right now. As long as he continue to work on his game and the coaches allow development, it will work out fine.

Lol, it is unfortunate but true. If they are not happy with his production then just trade him.

jeremy Lin is untouchable on clutchfan no matter how good or garbage he is. if this was tony douglas or terrence williams in the same situation, he would have been gone.

Say what you want about Lin's shooting. Scoring is not our biggest problem.

At 103.37 ppg, we're 4th in the league.

At 103.90 ppg against us, we're worst in the league.

well if Lin cant shoot then hardin cant shoot....if youre looking at stats harden is shooting around 36% after the first 2 games.....think about what happened against oklahoma.... Lin was in a slump, hes coming out of it and hopefully he will be more aggresive with the ball because he will be on a different team next year if he isnt
