Asik is a perfectly fine fit.

Lin however, is proving to be a horrible fit. Doubt his trade value is worth anything substantial right now though.

Harden (and Lin too) need a good PnR finisher. Yeah, you can get a good PF to do that, but it clogs up the paint. Ideally, you want Asik to be the finisher, but he can't. Not saying he won't ever, but it takes a long time to develop big men.

That's a very good point! And I agree!

Hopefully Asik can learn, but right now it just doesn't look like he has the natural abilities to become a truly solid offensive threat.

Ideally Patterson would be a fine PnR player, but the dude hates going inside.

What's up with the dude? I don't understand him at all. He's a big guy.

And he's athletic! The man definitely can finish with some nice 2 handed dunks when he goes to the basket.

But he seems COMPLETELY content with sitting on the outside shooting those 3's or midrange jumpers.

No way this loss was on Harden. It would have been a 30 point blow-out without his scoring.

His poor defense did contribute to Mayo's early dominance though. It presented a problem that the coaching staff is still trying to figure out how to resolve. They can't play Douglas 35-38 mins whenever the opposition has a high-scoring SG.

Maybe lin just isn't good? The guy was undrafted. How often do a guy go undrafted and turn out to be a quality player? Especially with the scouting they have now. The 2 most recent guys were brad miller and ben wallace. I mean in 60 picks, nobody drafted lin. He was cut and almost cut again, but then had 15 really good games. He turned that into 8m per yr for the next 3yrs. Let that soak in.

    Why Asik?

He has been terrific with Harden.

The only person whose role clashes with Harden is Jeremy Lin's.

Maybe there can be a trade involving Gasol and Lin.

Switch "escape goats" and see how that works.

Lin probably has zero trade value atm.

I honestly don't remember the last time a player could play as well as Harden did, and still be criticized for the loss on clutchfans.

And some people still cry about unfair criticism towards Lin, hilarious.

Its not like he's beating guys off the dribble either. Parson is playing pretty well and so is asik. I think they cut livingston to give lin a clear path. No one thought douglass would challenge his minutes, but its obvious the comfort level they have in him.

Anyway, the Lakers would flatout laugh in you'r face. Not that it would match salary wise, but it would be a one sided trade in Houstons direction.

Lakers and Rockets have poorly constructed rosters, but instead of blaming who should be blamed for putting the teams together, Gasol and Lin get all the blame.

    That's what I meant.

Isn't this the last year of T.D.'s contract?
