The stat also said: Harden -7 ,so Douglas played better than Harden ? Harden was playing as a point guard too. Delfino and Aldrich were +8 each.So the Rockets were playing their best basketball when Delfino and Aldrich were on the court?

After watching the game in person we really really need a low post player of any kind face up or back to the basket it don't matter

Just get rid of Jlin so this place can get back to where it was. The quality of this site has gone downhill recently.

This coaching staff is destroying the confidence of Lin and Asik. Really disappointing.

    - Harden plays 45 minutes on a twisted ankle
    - Parsons plays 42 minutes with a broken shoulder
    - Bac kcourt of Harden and Douglas allow Mayo to score 35 of his 40 points
-Douglas actually has a decent game but gets burned twice at end of game - game over. In OT against Portland he also got burned twice. Postgame coach says he was in for defense.
    - Starting center sits out fourth quarter
    - Starting PG sits out 4th quarter, offense stagnates, Harden starts missing and commiting turnovers because he isn't a point guard
    - Rockets play 4th quarter with no point guard - GAME OVER

Not sure if the outcome would have been different or not, but you paid these two guys and supposely they are your future. So you play them because they need experience in situations like this. They're both faily new starters. There will be situations that you use the hot hands, but I don't think it was necessary in this case not to make subsitutions.

    LMAO!

I'm just saying you paid for those 2 starters. Why aren't you playing them?

I feel bad for Mchale and all but it's clear that Sampson is the better coach. Why? Bc he has actually coached in his career and at different levels while Mchale just gets by with his name.

Now we know that Sampson and McHale have been on the same page all along. They both love TD's energetic defense. And his mastery of stupid fouling that passes in some circles as aggressive lockdown D.

The shame of it was that this game was totally winnable. The players gave their all but were betrayed by idiotic coaching.
Harden should be recruiting coaches not players....

They're both old school guys, from the hand-checking/1-on-1 defense era. Help defense doesn't really get noticed by older players who don't really understand defensive rotation very well (as evidenced by the terrible rotations by our players).

If the advanced data Morey has is merely used for talent evaluation and not into actually coaching players, that's a lot of data and effort being wasted.

I almost choked when I heard that.Scores were raining down on us and they thought that Toney's defense was better....wow.

Coach, being energetic does not necessarily mean it's effective.

Same decision with Portland game...the stupid eye test.

Maybe we should have utilized that big Turkish guy we signed. Mchale loves small line-ups. He needs to be fired asap. Condolences but he isn't our solution long-term at head coach.

It turns out that Asik has been playing with broken nose all this time:(. No wonder he was passive, very reactive and reluctant in the spurs game. Iam sure it was Al-Jefferson who broke his nose:mad:.
