I would hate to think what would happen if Harden got injured. My guess, is we'd probably lose most games. If we lost Asik, we lose several games due to lack of rebounding. If Lin was unfortunately hurt I believe the Rockets would win more games and give Machado an opportunity to showcase his skill. That is the truth!

I am very happy the rockets lost today:grin:

On a serious note games like these will only help this young team.

I think he'll be in the upcoming rising-star game.

Problem is: the LOHers will just follow onto a Laker forum to rag on Lin. That plus LOF's leaving Clutch will mean only a small group of circle jerkers left to cheer the ROX.

Wow some of you are delusional
    after 18 games

Asik - Has stone Hands , refuses to dunk, cant D Face up Centers , great rebounder, good passer

Patterson- Cant set a pick , Cant Rebound ,Cant defend against Above avg. PF
    good jumpshot,

Parsons- Bricks a lot of jumpers, Cant play one on one defense, and gets blown bye above avg. SF, good RB for a SF, Most overrated player on this forum

Harden - cant close out games , Cant play defense at all
    Can do it all offensively

Lin- cant shoot , scared to shoot because he will get bench, not great against faster PG
Good passer , good defender, good RB for a PG

    TD - still Complete Trash

Coaching - just Terrible, bad rotation, bad game plan , bad defensive plan

    UnBias Knick Fan

Team needs a better PG, SF, PF

Our lack of defense baffles me. How do you leave Mayo wide open on a 3 and let him waltz to the basket in crunch time?!?

On top of that Harden played 45 mins, while Parsons played 42.

Not the true rockets fans at least.

Lin didn't play the entire 2nd quarter and 4th quarter. I find it amusing that trolls like spiegel continued to bring Lin into every post he submitted. But then again that's what trolls do.

I think TD played an good game but his defense at the end of the game was atrocious.

    I think McHale's rotation tonight gets a big F.

Meh. I came into this season with zero expectations. Losses don't bother me as much as they normally. I just want to see some growth in our guys.

Exactly. It couldn't be more clear.

    Sad really.

Douglas played better defense. We put Douglas on Mayo and for most of the second half he held him in check.

Again, the Rockets were a better team with Douglas on the floor tonight. If you watched the game in the 2nd and 3rd quarters you would have noticed this.

This was a game where coaching experimented with the Rockets lineup. It was also a shootout between Harden & Mayo, and Mayo won by making the bigger shots and committing fewer turnovers.

Almost half of Houston’s shots were from 3-pointers. In the 1st half, Lin sat after playing 6 minutes in the first quarter, and the team mainly relied on 3’s to get back into the game. They shot 36 FGs, of which 17 were 3-pointers, and made 53% of them. In the 2nd half, Lin played most of the third quarter and the team shot 5 3-pointers (with Lin shooting and making one). Then with Lin sitting most of the 4th quarter, the team shot another 13 3-pointers. Actually Delfino shot another 3-pointer which was counted as a 2.

Houston continues to struggle with transition and interior defense. Also the team is still very TO prone. With a game where Lin saw limited time, and 1 TO, the team still committed 19 TOs.

The relatively close score does not tell the whole story. Dallas was able to better execute, was less dependent on 3 pointers, ended up with more FGs, and less TOs. With Dirk and Marion in the game for Dallas, the Rockets would have even a harder time with matchups and defense.

At least the lineup experimentation highlighted plenty of things coaching needs to focus on.

No sorry, that's not what I meant. Just that whoever was guarding him, Harden/Chandler, couldn't and Tony did a better job.

Well, welcome back McFail. I guess it was you and Sampson both who have been wanting to play TD. Never liked the coaching staff. Not sure what they are doing with the rotations.
