Stop being a McHale apologist and defending him without reason. This loss had nothing to do with us being the youngest team in the league. The loss has to go down due to bad in game coaching.

    G. Smith only played 2 minutes. Why?
    No Morris at all?
Has McHale been watching the Rockets progress this season?

Did you watch the game, friendo? It was an affront to good coaching.

    the new Frank Bush, everyone

    no ideas what he's doing.

i furiously want to know who else they interviewed beside McHale

If Morey thinks that McHale was the best for the position at the time then this has to be worst move my Morey as a GM, no doubt.

We were up 9 in the fourth quarter. Should we expect to lose a winnable game like that?

Because they're young they automatically lose close games? There's a difference in forgiving players for making poor decisions but at least they made decisions. This team doesn't even know what decision to make because the coaches are terrible.

He can not coach. I wish we still had Adelman, but I'd much rather have Sampson than McHale.

I don't know, McHale and staff are playing lineups like they want to win games.

If they didn't care they'd let players like Asik or even Mook to get some crunchtime minutes to develop. We do have to play again next year with most of this group, you know.

This...when your up by 9...Adelman made sure that the lead never dipped below nine...Being a players coach is one thing...not knowing how to coach is totally different...Mchale is not doing a good job just like Lin, and just like Patterson

Forget Sampson. Get rid of both coaches and find someone with a different identity, someone committed to the development and growth of a young team.

One thing about sampson is that the coach got what he wanted offensively...With Mchale, the offense and defense looks atrocious...

mchale was severely outcoached by carlisle in the 4th Q tonight. he did not put out the right player combinations or run the right offense against dallas' smallball lineup, and this loss is clearly on him.

Instead McHale plays late with players that will not be here next year. Douglas-Delfino-Aldrich all are 1 year deals gone after this year. Delfino's second year non guaranteed.

Greg smith was our best post option other than Asik...and when Dallas went small...why in the heck was Patterson on the floor before those two guys..heck even Cole did a solid job...

It is ok. Let all the knee-jerkers and ignorant people stay to this one thread  There is so much about coaching that none of us know. By the way, Sampson is the "defensive assistant": how is our defence been recently?

The Rockets should cut ties...with Mchale...let him go back to his family...but out of pity will keep him onboard...

but if they fire him in the offseason...what good does that do...you still will have to teach a young team a new system...either get rid of him now...or we wont win games we should...and this was a game we shouldve won...

This is a great point, not sure what the game plan is but i would rather see player development this year.

Doesn't change the fact that Sampson runs the OFFENSE better than McHale. If your "defensive assistant" can run a better offense than you, then you should not be coaching.
