Its ironic that TD was just thrown in the JLin deal and he seems to have played his way into the starting spot.

I'm pulling for Lin, but being sat the entire second quarter is bad news.

 

Agreed. A nice three...a few would have been assists and gets benched? He wasn't even guarding Mayo.

Lin wasnt covering mayo, he was covering fisher who had zero on LIN and Lin was the best rocket when he went to the bench.....

they want the ball in hardens hands....they want to turn into an iso team...thats not what Lin is....

 

Mayo is a great player too though.

Mayo vs Harden may be a fun battle to watch for years to come hopefully.

 

I think we're gonna see McHale staggering Lin's and Harden's play time from now on, Jeremy would have still gotten 32 minutes this game, but McHale couldn't pull Harden out.

 

and douglas is just 2 of 5 for 6 points....

 

2pat's stat line is alarming.

 

This. Why go out and spend money then, just pick up Boykins again and call it a day with TD starting.

 

I wonder if Lin will come in for Harden so we can see Lin-TD backcourt. It might actually be effective that way cause TD spaces the floor and Lin is better when he's driving and dishing. Harden played the entire first half, so he'll probably be coming out of the game at some point.

TD wasn't playing PG for most of it he was playing SG with Harden as the PG. It actually makes some sense, since Harden is basically a SG/PG combo player.

I know that in a recent interview Sampson said they were looking at ways to stagger their minutes and lineups.

Don't think I would be shocked if they want Lin with the 2nd Unit instead of having TD or Delfino playing the PG role.

 

Long term > short term.

I couldnt care less about 1 regular season game when the team is rebuilding, if you ask me I'd rather be playing TJ and Donatas/Machado from day 1 along with other young guys. Guys like Delfino and TD should not have seen the floor at all.

 

Douglas played a lot better than Lin in the first half. That's why he got more minutes. If the Rockets are doing well, wouldn't you want the same guys who are playing well on the floor? Oh wait, you're not a Rockets fan though.

Quit b****ing. Shooting well and getting to the line? He made one shot and got to the line once. He will start the third quarter most likely dude.

Lin is still a good player. The thing is him and Harden struggle to co-exist.

 

Why are people saying Douglas is the starter?

Lin started, he got pulled because he was struggling to defend Mayo 1 on 1.

Douglas, for all his weaknesses, is a better on the ball defender against small guards.

The whole team outside of Delfino is young though.

So they are all developing.
