    Tom Cruise is basically Wall-E.

A $140 million budget  better start advertising it now, or hope Tom Cruise has some serious star power. I personally would go see it since I love sci-fi flicks.

Oh man, I was so looking forward to this but after seeing that trailer I'm now pretty sure it's going to be just as crappy as Tron Legacy. Joseph Kosinski is just a visual director and nothing more. As much as I love Sci-fi this trailer is a mess. For some reason for me the setting, the environment and the esthetic designs just doesn't blend properly with the action piece of this trailer. It design and look epic in scale but the action piece and creatures is so damn mediocre. Just like Tron Legacy. So much could be done in that computer generated world but the lack of imagination from Joseph Kosinski totally turn it into a mediocrity movie. This look to be the going down the same road.

The fact this movie wasn't an Elder Scrolls movie based on the video game Oblivion made me lose interest.

Made my day. Is he still in? Isn't the Church being a cult common knowledge now?

I haven't watched Tron Legacy but I liked Tom in Minority Report.

I seriously wonder whether or not the producers were actually aware of each other's projects. They look like the exact same movie except one has a white guy in a white suit while the other has two black guys in black suits.

I guess the aliens are the ones who actually won the war and Tom Cruise was working for them on accident?

I have no doubt that it will be entertaining but the trailer lost me at the dramatic and cliched cigar light. Everything after that was cliche after cliche...the post-apocalyptic survivor camp, the glimpses of brainless yet super intelligent rampaging aliens, etc.

At leat the M. Night movie is mildly original, with it's 'everything on earth has evolved to kill humans' subtext.
