When you don't have strength and stamina the first thing to go is your shot. He has had surgery and is recovering whats so hard to understand about that?
Toronto has been trying to unload him for a long time and can't. I think Lin is obviously better than Calderon, though. He needs the ball in his hands in order to show it, though.
I was being sarcastic. I'm a Lin fan and a Rockets fan, but am disgusted with these comments about trading him, benching him, etc. We're only 1/4 into the season, and this is the kind of support the players receive from their fans. I believe Lin will be a good all-around PG for the team but admit he needs to improve on his shooting. I, also believe that his shooting will come around. We saw snippets of it in previous games. These knee-jerk reactions are beyond me. It seems that even patient Lin fans are getting "impatient".
Players in the league play with injuries all the time, whats your point? Jeremy Lin is fools gold. It like a scene from Pawn stars. Rick just told you that your 1873 Winchester rifle is fake, but you disagree, since you have invested too much into it. "No, it cant be fake." you scream. "I paid x amount, so therefor it has to be real". I'm sorry, but that sneaky guy at the swap meet rick rolled you. You're stuck with a training model that can't even fire. To top it off, there's no patina! Creating an excuse over pure speculationn is pathetic.
i don't think he was much of a shooter even back in NY. it's just being more obvious know when he is forced to play off ball a lot more. also, a lack of confidence due to bad coaching.
Here's a really crazy idea for sampson and his crew. Just give the ball to Lin and let him be the PG? Harden will still be 1st option on offense. Give it a try.
Lin pushes the ball up all the time. I really think he has the option to do what he wants; he chooses to give it to Harden the minute he crosses the timeline IMO.
Why? It's been proven even this season that the more he handles the ball the more he turns it over. He's averaging almost 3 a game and he barely handles the ball as is. The guy isn't good. Give it up already. No team is going to run their full offense through him like New York did last year when everyone was injured. He's not that guy.
harden is a ball dominant player, just like lin. it's obvious they made a choice to go with harden. don't forget what sampson said about "democratic ball"
Uh....dude. I believe Harden in the top 2 or 3 in TOs in the entire league. I've seen so many games with Harden having 4-6 TOs a game and going by your flawed argument...he is also sharing playmaking responsibilities with Lin. So by your logic, Harden's TO rate should even be higher if he did not share the ball with Lin.
He is not what guy? What exactly were you looking for? Harden is currently leading the Western Conference in TOG at a whopping 4 and an A/T at a measly 1.3. Are you going to ditch him too? Lin is not doing very well but he is also not the scrub you're describing either.
I agree that since the Jazz game he is bring up the ball more often and also unlike the games before the Jazz games, where he just pass it off to Harden, it looks like he's had the option to do what he wants. I noticed though that when we start to get behind, Harden would start to ask for the ball more so he could do something or to score.
What's wrong is that his jumper is pure doo doo this season. It wasn't like this last year. Never remember watching him with the Knicks and thinking that he is a terrible shooter. Now he is bricking wide open shots.
He is playing with an injury and your right players in the league do play with injurys all the time, and a lot of them play worse until they are fully recovered. That's why Lin is playing below par because he isn't fully recovered. I'm not saying that is the whole issue but I would say it is the main thing that is keeping him from playing better. Just last week Morey stated that he doesn't have the ability to decelerate properly yet. Whats pathetic is not giving the guy a chance to heal up and then see what he can do. That may take the whole season but we should have an idea of how he will be as a player by then. Morey didn't just all of a sudden lose his mind and go against everything he believes and buy into Linsanity. There is something there although it was a bunch of media hype I have seen him do things this year where I see flashes and I think he has a chance to be very good. Sometimes you just have to go with it instead of always giving up on everybody after just 18 games. Plus pathetic is Von, he sure threw away good money that the Rockets tried to give him.
There's nothing wrong with Lin except unrealistic expectations. He's not one notch below last year's version. He's a full two notches below what we saw him do when Carmelo was out, and he's our weakest link by a mile.
