All I know is a 10 inch dick is a lot easier to say than a 25.4 centimeter dick

I wonder if any American energy, health professionals, natural science professors or volume and inventory accountants of any kind are this frustrated by our measurement system. They all seem to vacillate between metric, English, mass, volume, weight and heating value fairly easily without any hassle.

I refuse to change to the metric system. I'm closer to my death than I am to my birth, so it's not worth the effort.

Its not that you might have some valid points

Its the forced elitism of all this.

Surely you're not THAT much of a Europhile where it gets you THAT upset

Now when you can tell us the precise measurements of "stones" as though thats not arbitrary, maybe the US will listen in more

Ahh I was going to post this very same rant earlier today when I needed a metric screw but all I had was standard screws.

Its equally frustrating when you are working on something that has them mixed.

The world should all use the metric system, have the same railroad gauge, and all drive on the right side of the road. It makes sense and saves money.

Actually it'd probably be "tenth and centimeters," when you can only imagine groupings of the same amount as your fingers or toes.

Even the British who created the English system don't use it anymore, that tell you how great that system is. People complain they don't understand the metric system which is about as simple as you get with all base 10 conversion factors, yet they like the convoluted system with random conversion factors between units. Only in America.

I prefer the non American calendars where they go Mon-Sun as opposed to Sun-Sat. Makes so much more sense to have the weekend days next to each other on a calendar
