Oh no, it's far worse to have to actually live with that for another 40-60 years (which would be a virtual eternity in prison/solitary) than to take your life right away short of what may or may not be waiting for us in the immediate aftermath in the afterlife (depending on what you believe).

It starts with youth football. I think tackle football should be banned until high school. Let them play flag football where they can learn the techniques of offense and defense. That way, once in high school they can concentrate on teaching proper tackling. There is no reason to start the damage as early as they do now.

Football isn't an appealing sport. I have no idea why people even like to watch it. It's basketball or nothing.........

I'm not sure where to put this article so am putting it here. I wonder if the police are trying to avoid a Jevon Belcher situation with Suggs.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs had to surrender several firearms last month as part of a court order related to a domestic dispute, the Baltimore Sun reported on Thursday.

According to the Sun, Suggs and his girlfriend, Candace Williams, are involved in a custody dispute over their two children. The report says Suggs filed a custody complaint on Nov. 19. Williams filed a complaint sometime afterward. A court order led to Suggs surrendering the guns.

“The guns were surrendered over to police pursuant to the court order, and they [Suggs and Williams] are resolving their issues,” Suggs’ attorney told the Sun. “All I can tell you is that he’s in rightful and lawful possession of the guns but turned them over pursuant to the requirements of the law.”

The Baltimore Sun says two 911 calls were received from Suggs’ address on Nov. 21, but that no reports were taken.

The two have a history of domestic problems.

Williams filed a complaint against Suggs in December 2009 alleging domestic violence. The complaint arose in Williams’ application for a protective order. She received the protective order but rescinded it and a $70 million lawsuit a month later as the two attempted to reconcile.

Suggs’ attorney told the Sun that all domestic issues should be resolved at a court hearing next week.

That seems a little proactive for the Suggs case, but whatever, I hope it works out for all parties. Remember when Sean Taylor got killed? He actually had to give up his guns for some violation, which was probably just. The ironic thing was that he was on a road trip to Florida on an away game iirc and stayed at his house one night because it was recently burglarized. When Taylor heard noises, he tried to chase the burglars away with a machete and they killed him with shot to the femoral artery.

Have to let the police handle it, or even a private security firm when you have that kind of money. No sense in putting your own life on the line when you have the means for somebody else to.

Completely agreed. This was pretty tragic and I lived in DC when it happened. A lot of people assumed he was up to no good, but the reality was that he just wanted to stay at his house with his wife and baby. The burglars/killers actually knew him...like one of them did some work on his house or something like that. I don't think Taylor knew the teens were armed...he was stirring up some noise trying to scare them away.
