Let's just convert Medicare into a program to pay down the debt Treasury issues in the Trust Fund to finance Medicare, therefore letting Medicare truly do what it was supposed to do; take taxes from people in politically savory contexts, and then have it pay down politically unsavory tasks.

    SS does it too!

Except you'd then see a decrease in full-time jobs along with the increase in part-time jobs. And none of those requirements take effect until 2014 anyway.

It may happen eventually, but it's not going to be happening on a large scale the moves the needle right now.

The 7.7 percent unemployment rate is the lowest it has been since December 2008.

    Thanks Mr President!

    horrible recovery

it's a national disgrace that our unemployment is still so high

Obama prioritized his turd of a healthcare plan over focusing on jobs

Great news about the 140,000 plus new private sector jobs, and the 7.7 unemployment rate. Good news indeed.

And the jobs number just keeps getting terribler and terribler. That $5 gas is probably right around the corner too.

Except that it has consistently been on the decline since 2000. Perhaps there is a certain generation that has been retiring?
