Love also had 31-31, and that's the only 30-30 game in over 30 years.

Random or not, only 2 players have done it in the past 12 years, that's a fact... Stop diminishing Z-Bo's accomplishments.

wow. No, it's not like Love at all. Love is a great offensive rebounder, especially considering he's also a 3pt shooter. His shot selection has been good since day 1 and he's very efficient. It's arguable who's the better defender now -- I'd take Love -- but Love is far superior compared to the old ZBO.

Love is quite comparable to ZBO today, the biggest difference being Love's shooting ability.
Knicks/Clippers ZBO was an overpaid high volume chuckster and a stat machine. He has improved a lot.

Congratulations to Zach Randolph for making another all-star game appearance. The haters have gone silent.

Zach Randolph gets more credit than he deserves. The grizzlies minus Zach Randolph would be as good or better than what they are now.

I am not sure how you reward the grizzlies, who have one of the best team defenses in the league, and clearly that's how we win, by rewarding the one guy that doesn't play defense.

It's ludicrous. If you want to know the truth, the guy that SHOULD have made the all star team from the grizzlies is: Mike Conley, who is BY FAR the most underrated player in the league. If the grizzlies didn't have Mike Conley, we'd be a lottery team.

It's funny because I think Zach Randolph holds the grizzlies back.

Grizzlies team record season before Zach Randolph trade: 24-58
Grizzlies team record season after Zach Randolph trade: 40-42

The same core (Conley, Gasol, Gay, Mayo) was with the team in both seasons

that was 4 years ago. We are talking about the here and now, and I don't believe Zach has earned an allstar spot.

The grizzlies are a collection of talent, but, in my opinion, the most irrelevant player in that collection is Zach Randolph.

If you really are watching the grizzlies, you'd know that if Mike Conley goes down the grizzlies season is done. And you can't say that about any other player on the team.

So, my point is, if you are going to reward a grizzlies player, reward the RIGHT grizzlies player. Otherwise, don't give them an allstar player at all.

Frankly, in my opinion, I'd rather have Demarcus Cousins on my team over Zach Randolph, and probably most other gms would as well. So how come Demarcus didn't make the team?

It's because the entire system is flawed. If, for example, you are going to reward a team based on their accomplishments in the regular season, then you should reward the player who is the most important player from that team. If it is based on an individual award (or, how one player stacks up next to another), Demacus is better than Zach in every way and needs to make the team.

"WHAT" : You are the worst poster on the board... First you say, Rudy Gay will show the world he is on KD level. Then you say, Zach Randolph doesn't deserve to be in the All Star game. You are delusional.

Interesting. So you think Z-BO is worse than Rudy Gay? IMHO Z-Bo gives the team a consistent and efficient scoring option in the post.

Also while everyone would like Cousins over Z-BO, it has more to do with potential and salary than actual production. I bet everyone would prefer Paul George over Kobe as well, but Kobe is the starter.

Now translate that mentality to Harden and the Rockets.

    Wow.

I think the value goes -

    1a. Marc Gasol
    1b. Z-Bo
    2a. Conley
    2b. Gay

You'd be surprised to know that a lot of grizzlies fans don't value Marc Gasol the way you and the rest of the league might.

Gasol has been inept and inconsistent MOST of the year, and while he does SOME things that people love a player to do, set good screens, play good defense, passing, he rarely rebounds and is so passive with the basketball. Most grizzlies fans would rather set Gasol score the basketball, than pas it so much.

Also, most grizzlies fan would rather trade Z-bo than rudy. The facts are that Conley is the most important player on trhe grizzlies team, and Marc and ZBO are living off reputation.

The Grizzlies are Z-Bo's team. Rudy is just along for the ride.

Here we are over 2 years later and Z-Bo is still getting the job done. He's coming through for his team when they need it the most all while dominating Blake Griffin.

    Game 3: 27 pts, 11 rebs
    Game 4: 24 pts, 9 rebs

The silence of the haters has already condemned them.
