that's some fast movement in changing of positions in the photo booth. Shame they didn't manage to get into frame for those bottom 2...I'm guessing she shaved for the occasion.
I just gave you guys a whole bunch of keywords for search in an earlier post. Dont be a bunch of "takers". Do some work!!
as a hispanic I do not find it offensive at all, and am ashamed of people that do. As a hispanic I make steriotypical jokes like this all the time with my friends as they do me. No one gets offended when there is a "white trash" party, but when its any other racially themed event people complain. Stop trying to protect us, most of us could care less. The point of the party was to have fun also, it wasnt a hate crime event. Hey can you draw a hispanic person for me, grabs the brown marker, no no no, thats incensitive lol smh
It’s not just you, I’m Hispanic and I didn't even see anything wrong until I started reading the comments and I was like -ok now I see what’s wrong with this picture.
geez some of you get so worked up about nothing... mexican people would see this and maybe be like "putas!" and then they would forget about it.
 I hadn't heard about this until right now that I read a lot of threads here. You can wear a costume that's a hat, a mustache, etc. You can say things like "señor! un tequila por favor!" at the party, etc. I think that the signs were overboard. I'm not offended by it and I usually don't get offended easily, unless you truly mean to be a MEANIE about it... as some of you may have already read some posts from me that point those out... so... no, in a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being the most offensive, I think this is at about a 6 at most. The signs. Just... the signs. A bit too much.
The Perskin chick is an idiot. I wonder what law school she got admitted into. She deleted her Facebook and LinkedIn. Wonder how bad it got for her. Nice ass tho
I don't know what your damn problem is but if you wanna ding someone's posts make an effort to actually respond to some of the arguments, infant. Point number one was that I interact with enough caucasians and had a positive enough college experience racially to not anticipate that behavior in work, public or any other place where I'd actually have to deal with them. The second point was that greek organizations get special treatment from the schools and are considered representatives thereof, so they're obviously accountable for this type of behavior. It seems to me the only thing you got from it was that I wasn't sufficiently pissed off at whites to validate your habitual racial self-vicitimization. Try to stay outta County, Tupac.
What? Did you read my post? I said it was insulting, but that I wasn't offended. I also said it was good that another hispanic poster wasn't offended. All I did was point out that it was insulting, and while I wasn't offended, and happy for anyone else who wasn't offended, I would understand if some people were offended. If you feel that was an attempt to protect anyone from anything, then I think you got the wrong idea.
pouhe bear if you see me playing the victim ill find you a bucket of honey. I didnt even do the in the county. Io might stumble but still wont lose, now im dressed in the count blues
Sorry if i came on harsh, its just that cases like this annoy the hell outta me. I disagree in the case that I do not think it was insulting though, just girls having a themed party. Had they decided to not let a girl into the sorority bc of her hispanic background & then dressed up to class with those outfits to poke fun at her I'm with you. I didnt mean you protecting anyone either, I meant those trying to set a precedent by trying to punish those girls for something so miniscule.
I agree it wasn't a big deal at all. The reason I find it insulting is that when these white girls think Mexican they reduce it to sombreros, yard work, smoking weed, and comical mustaches. The fact that is all they can think of when there is far more to Mexican culture and heritage like that is a little insulting. It's not insulting to any one person and it isn't like they are discriminating or anything. The civilizations in Mexico had performed successful brain surgery back when the ancestors of these girls were dunking women in water to see if they drowned or not in order to find if they were witches. Yet the only thing these girls can think of when they think of Mexicans is their ignorant signs and costumes. Yes, it's harmless, and I wouldn't be surprised if no one got offended by it, because they only make themselves look ignorant. But I do find it insulting. It's fine if you disagree and don't think reducing ancient civilizations that made enormous contributions to medicine, astrology, and numerous other arts and sciences to weed smoking, yard workers with sombreros and funny mustaches is insulting. It's different when Mexican's and Latino's make the same type of jokes because obviously they have more of an understanding of the culture than these sorority girls do.
