He was arrested because of a domestic violence in college...was it because he beat a woman? Domestic violence covers a broad range of topics from intimidation to threats to actual physical violence. I could be wrong, but I havent heard of any evidence of him actually beating women before.

As far as this latest case, there is an alleged head butt that took place. Based on videos of Evelyn, she gets up in whoever's grill she's yelling at...I think, it would be safe to assume, that Chad got frustrated and tried to get her out of his face using his head. Yeah, Im sure he lost patience and couldnt control his anger. Its a mistake that he's admitted to...but I wouldnt call him a woman beater because of that.

You can only be pushed to certain limits...and that goes for everyone. If he's sitting there seeing his wife had secretly bought some condoms...and then they are in a heated argument where they are both going off at each other...Im not going to completely label the guy because he lost his cool for a moment under those kinds of circumstances. I dont agree with what he did, but then again, nobody here knows any real details as to what happened.

Then you should probably temper the words and tone you use when discussing him because it clearly comes off that you have a problem with him as a person, hence his character.

This is clearly a judgment on his character:

Yes, I wouldn't hire him as a football coach. That part of his character I do not care for. Would I let him watch my kids/date my daughter? Not sure about that one.

Don't confuse my pee-pee game hyperbole "briles can burn in hell!!!11" with actual, legitimate judgments of him as a person. I'm sure he's a plenty nice guy overall.

Semantics, maybe - but *she* found *his* receipt, meaning we can probably add adulterer to his impressive list of character attributes.

There is zero justification for striking a woman; even less so (negative zero?), frankly, when you’re a physical specimen who could do some serious damage. And, BTW, per the police report, he grabbed her and then head butted her; there’s nothing to suggest it was accidental.

Donny’s right about one thing; this probably isn’t the place to debate the issue. And even if it were, there is literally nothing you can speculate or conjecture about that would change my opinion of Chad Johnson. For me, the story begins and ends with him head butting a woman.

    The guy is a creep.

Ignoring that, he's a terrible football player who, as his talent has eroded, has become a bigger "me, me, me" distraction.

he himself wouldn't suggest it was accidental, and it can be safely assumed that he's done more than one headbutt of one woman. he said in that interview yesterday that he "beat women", and that he was attending abuse classes, or whatever it is that woman beaters do to help them attempt to stop beating women in the future.
