    love his improved offensive game...

love how he is great at attacking the basket face up...

dont want to see them fashion him into a back to the basket type player...

Heh, I just saw someone on a Bulls board about them wishing they'd had Omer instead of Noah. :p For the most part though, they're really happy for his recent success which is nice to see.

It's amazing how much improvement and confidence he's already shown offensively since the start of the season, the spinning ballerina layups are slowly being converted into big dunks, he's catching passes, and not getting blocked by guards anymore like in the beginning lol

This man was an absolute steal.

Despite Smith's great performance, and the fact that he played practically the whole 4th quarter (and he deserved every minute of it), Asik had 10 points and 9 rebounds in 24 minutes of play against the Lakers.

the Gobbler had an off night--for him--but still contributed in major ways.

    Dude is a Rockets keeper

Although Asik is not Superman, Greg Asik aka Omer Smith is a Superhero in my book ;)

Aside from Dwight being Omer's kryptonite, I knew it wasn't our night when I saw him lazily jogging back all chill lol you kow when Omer doesn't have it in him, it's gonna be bad.
His first off night of the season, but it's cool, he's human. We've got Douglasanity to take care of business.

And no I don't like the name just "Big Turkey", sounds silly.
After Omer set one of his MEAN screens, I saw someone call him "Big Wall of Turkey" lol I liked it.

Asik needs to work on his fronting. Too many times he gave up the post position to D12 after initial success fronting him.

looked like confusion in the way they wanted to play defense against him

Asik was playing as though he would get backside help, yet often there was no one around. Moreover, if you are going to front Dwight with your 5, your 4 better be the one rotating to help and that was not what I saw.

I love Asik. He's scoring and rebounding a lot, lots of double-double's. I'd like to see him block more shots.

Yea I would have liked to see some cleaner finishes around the rim. But he still got to the line a ton and converted most of his FTs. Another double-double. He's not the best offensive player. But I still feel like any offense from him is bonus. Frustrating, but I can accept it. He had clutch rebounds and blocks tonight. Plus that miracle banked jumper to tie the game.

time for a bump! The Gobbler had one of his better all around games:

17 pts 15 rebounds. Changed some shots and went 7-9 from free throw line! not bad for the Big Turkey

He just needs a PF buddy to help him out. We were getting eaten alive on the boards in the first half tonight.
