Are you trying to compare Kobe Bryant and Jamal Crawford? And are you implying that Kobe is not one of the greatest of all time?
Even shooting that great of a % I would still say it's bad for Kobe to shoot as many times as the rest of LA's starters (what happened last night).
I remember Yao just standing straight and Kobe running into him. Foul on Yao. Kobe gets so much help from the refs it's disgusting or better yet rigged. Last night Harden was left astonished, as he couldn't get no call with true contact.
The current Kobe's great too. His team is just a mess. Sure, you can say that. But you want Dwight to shoot FTs? Who else on that starting lineup would you prefer to shoot? I usually criticize Kobe, but if you haven't been watching Dwight enough this year, you know why Kobe wouldn't want him to shoot either. IF Dwight can make 60% of his FTs, he'll get a lot more touches. But their problem is defense since D'antoni took over. That lies entirely on Dwight and D'antoni.
He's been a chucker almost his entire career... its just that he had Bigs and others to mask what you're seeing now. It happened when Shaq left til he complained he didn't have any help..he even went as far as shooting over 40 shots a game before. Sure he's a great talent but alot of times he shows everything wrong in a selfish self absorbed non teammate. When things go wrong watch out, becuase he's throwing somebody under the bus at no expense of himself.
Kobe's shot selection never was the best and his selfish attitude has been a constant throughout his career. I also promise you don't dislike him any more than I do. I have just chosen not to vent on him here in the last 3-4 years. Excluding wanting the Rockets to succeed, he is the sole reason my #1 goal at the start of each NBA season is for the Lakers to fail. But regardless of person feelings, Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest players and scorers in NBA history. Simple as that. Denying either is delusion.
My only statement is "Thank God he did not get it against the Rockets". And I won't be watching tonight as he achieves that mile stone.
Horry has 7. Rings are a team accomplishment. Saying someone has 5 rings in what way rebuts someone saying they shoot a lot? Kobe led a team to 2 titles, not as if that's some small feat or anything. He's great. I just laugh at the "he has 5 rings" responses, as if he led all of those teams to titles or if other players (some avg some great) don't have more. For example, Havlicek has more rings than Kobe and he also led his team to a title after Russell left.
