    Maybe he's happy?

Maybe he found a spot he likes and realizes that if he continues to have this kind of success, they'll name the new football stadium after him :)

I seriously hope there's an ornamental bulldozer at the stadium.

    Seriously.

Or perhaps a hill at midfield, with a flagpole in the middle, for the hell of it.

In his best season, with a dominant Heisman-winning player, Briles went 9-3 and went to the Alamo bowl. This year he's 7-5 Not sure why people are so desperate to lure him away. Obviously I'm bitter with his departure from UH, but from an objective sense, can anyone explain why he's a hot commodity? He has a great eye for QBs and offense to recruit, but he hardly has a dominant formula.

Baylor's tenure in the Big 12 until Briles' arrival was among the worst stretches of any D1 school in history. Honestly, the bar was so low, I'm surprised it took them this long to ink the deal.

The program is headed in the right direction. We have a top 25 recruiting class coming in (last time I checked rivals)..

Baylor got a crap bowl bid last season. We got a way better match-up this season and quite frankly nobody can say that we aren't playing like a ranked team. We should end the season in the rankings if we beat UCLA. Back to back seasons in the final rankings is called progress.

This is exactly right. 3 straight bowl games for Baylor is humongous!

Forget bowl games. 10 wins and a heisman trophy. That's basically a national title for you guys.

I went to their bowl game that year. Worst football game I've ever seen. I've seen Katy HS play more defense. Just wanted to add that since they cried the most when TAMU tried to split. Gig on that and happy holidays.

I'll take being the best football team in the state even if it was for one year.

Hell, we might end up being the second highest ranked team in Texas this year when it's all said and done.

    Progress.
