He manned up to his mistakes, He has taken steps to insure that he will be a better person. Personally, I think he can still play the game of Football. You never really lose your catching ability. I think it would be nice if he could coincide with Andre Johnson. That would make this team a terror on the offensive end. I realize that we are trying to develop some young receivers but they get a chance to learn from two of the best.

What are your thoughts on this? I personally think that the Texans should make a play on him for a year or two.

Unless there was proof he was the same Chad Johnson/OchoCinco that produced yards for the Bengals, I'd rather just stick with the young WRs we have now.

Honest, I can't see Smith making a move for him short of either Kevin Walter or Andre Johnson getting injured.

He's been a good off the field guy with the exception of the incident that got him kicked out of MIA and was doing well in training camp with them before it happened, but the Texans don't need him. He deserves a second chance, just not here.

Surrounding yourself with two noisy, inflammatory, sensationalist morons by going on First Take is probably not the best PR move in the world.

I respect Chad as a person and an athlete, but I think he has some mental health problems that have sabotaged his career post-Cincinatti.

I wish him well, but not on this team.

We are fine with our plethora of tight ends.

The thing about Chad Johnson is he sucks.

No Chad Johnson, no Randy Moss, no Terrell Owens. Please stop with these threads.

He flamed out with the Pats because he didn't care enough to learn the playbook. He excelled until his athletic peak passed, and his lack of professional work ethic took over. No thanks. He's only in it to save his finances.

We have no need for him. We have more pressing needs at this point of the season than wide receivers.

Walters has been his usual self. Sure hands, great blocks, and even been targeted for deep passes.

Lestar Jean and Martin are slowly improving, but nothing impressive as of now besides few catches here and there. Regardless, we have Owens, Garret Graham, and James Casey to make up for the lack of depth at wide receivers.

By my count, it'd be his fourth chance. He burned bridges in Cincinnati, New England and Miami. And, BTW, that "incident" in Miami was domestic violence. I love how easily we brush that off. "Ah, he just head-butted his wife... Is that even against the law......."

He couldn't do much in New England and he couldn't separate himself in a mediocre receiving corp in Miami before the incident. He's not the player he was. I don't think he's a starter on this team and I'm not sure you bring a guy like Johnson in unless you think he helps you as a starter.
