This is the type of win a good team will have, despite shooting 37 FG%/20 3PT%

What really impresses me about this win is how much we did all the little things.

    1. Kept TOs down, 10 to 18.
    2. Hustled for offensive boards, 21 to 14 despite playing against Dwight Howard
    3. Kept attacking the basket, and the refs will reward with calls, even against the Lakers

For a team that relies so heavily on 3 pointers dropping, we managed to win one where our shooting sucked. It's this type of grinded out win that really shows what our youngsters are made of.

I can't believe we stole this one. Our bench stepped up huge.

This game shows that when our shots aren't falling we really are screwed since our defense has been non existent.

working hard means not just physical aspects.

working hard means bringing mental focus..

the starters came into the game lacking mental focus and continued that

Looks like Greg Smith is a true backup C, I think that's most important on nights when Asik struggles. Also like to see him play a bit more at PF some nights.

Do you have something against Sampson? He showed major balls to keep his bench players in and ride the hot hand, and then he initiated hack a dwight far earlier than most coaches would have, and it resulted in a win. I typical like your post, but you're seeing shadows where there are none.

Agree. Probably starters put too much pressure on themselves.

James Harden down the stretch tonight.

AHis play shots tonight was so horrifyingly bad, but late in the 4th quarter when we gave him the ball he did everything right with it.

He got a key offensive rebound with less than a minute left to give us another possession, made key free throws to give us the lead, and made the key pass to Greg Smith to seal the win.

Thrown together 2 days before the season started. 9-8, over .500 because the bench lead a comeback against the Lakers. This team has a lot of potential.

All these emotions!!!!!!!!!!!! what to do with them?! Is it bad I wanted to cry when I heard the final buzzer? lol
Crowd and Rockets were jumping around like they won the championship, I was expecting confetti. :p

Toney Douglas, the GOD, the savior, the cold-blooded Lakers killer, carried the scrubtastic Rockets and got us this win. Waive everyone and build around him.
Greg "I eat Dwight for lunch" Smith and Carlos GODfino also deserve a mention, talk about sparks from the bench.

How do you make spoilers? the following scrubs deserve to be hidden.
Lin, Asik, Chandler, Morris and 3 quarters of James played disgusting. This wasn't even the Lakers shutting anyone down, the starters just came out with pathetic effort. Does Jeremy know who Kobe is? He should know damn well those charge calls don't work on Kobe. And Asik was jogging back like he was Pau Gasol? Everyone missing layups, shooting bricks, wtf? Im gonna need confirmation that they were not out partying last night with Harden's twitter strippers, because they looked half drunk out there. I hope Sampson is currently ripping them a new one.

P.S. I was giggling like an idiot when Hack-a-Dwight began. It was beautiful to watch.:)

    Loved the Rocket win.

But seeing Greg Smith outplay Dwight Howard at the end of the game, priceless.
