Did Arsenal pull all their good players?
Will be interesting to see how these games go.

I'm just tired of Wenger at this point. Tired. He had a good run. They should throw a big retirement party for him, celebrate his legacy and move on. Enough.

CL is pretty much the only chance left for Arsenal to redeem this season somewhat, and he's already punted on it, knowing fully well that Arsenal could be facing a much tougher draw if they fail to win today.

    Gah.

Messi just got carted off after an collision with Benfica's keeper. There didn't seem to be much in the collision but Messi's knee did twist a bit.

First diagnosis says it's not so bad. I was actually thinking recently that it's a miracle the guy almost never got hurt...him being so good, he gets fouled a lot, I guess.

    Chelsea out. Well deserved.

Meanwhile we got three german group-winners. Pretty glad about that one, altought I can't stand two of them.

Glad that Messi's injury wasn't that serious, almost cried when I saw him carried off the field.

That's the main reason RVP left to MU. Wegner isn't interested in winning anything in the few upcoming years. His plan is to develop the youth and have them primed for a trophy in 2015 or something like that. Right now the main concern is to gain as much revenue as possible to pay back for that stadium.

Going to be difficult to convince the board to get rid of Wegner since he's been magician thus far with producing CL qualifications year after year with the kind of budget he's had.

I hope Chelsea wins the Europa League...then the UEFA Cup next year (game between europa and ucl champions).

    That would be awesome.

You're talking about the UEFA Super Cup. UEFA Cup was the former name of the Euro League. And no, Chelsea won't win this one, cause they will focus on the Premier League. All the big teams play their youngsters and bench players in the Euro League, so Chelsea won't even see the quarter finals.

Well, at this rate they don't look like they will even qualify for CL next year. And last night was an embarrassment of embarrassments. I've been an Arsenal fan for many years and it's hard to think of anything more pathetic than what happened last night. The tolerance of mediocrity has gone on long enough. Ramsey, Gervinho, Chamakh -- why do these people even get a chance to play, let alone start? Ugh.

We need a new manager. Badly.
