I saw a Stanford rout when they played against Notre Dame.

Oh you're talking about the player.

Two of the worst teams in the NFL release this guy within 10 months. It seems like he had a pretty good year last year with the Raiders, and then signed a pretty big contract with the Chiefs. Not expecting much if we sign him.

^The same thing people said about Pollard. Ruud has worked out very very well.

    In Smith We Trust.

Well, the contract and the losing must be taken into account in his situation. I'm not saying Routt will be great, but there won't be a lot expected of him in Houston and he could do fine.

I hope you are right. It sounds like he did really well in 2010 and signed for a really large contract before the 2011 season. Sure would be great to dig someone out of the trash heap that could actually help us down the stretch.

Im actually pretty happy about this.

There is something about being in a winning locker room that is contagious.

I think when you put someone with talent into an environment like that, good things can happen. Our defense is very tight knit, emotional, hard working, etc... I can see Routt doing well. Plus, we need the depth with our injuries.

    Low risk, high reward.

McCain was put on IR eligible to return so there is a free roster spot.

I believe Jonathan Grimes is also still on the roster spot after we waived Mister Alexander (We did that because Ben was injured). With Ben Tate back, we could very well waive Grimes. Not to mention that our linebacker depth is also in question, we could also potentially take Mister Alexander back.

I heard Mister Alexander has a successful small business opportunity he is busy with. Not an option.

This would be awesome. Routt was cut by the Chiefs because Romeo Crennel said their relationship was not progressing. You know, the same coach that later fired himself as defensive coordinator. He cut his starting CB and prized free agent signing because their relationship did not progress. Not only do I think Routt will make the team, I believe we found a legitimate #2 CB.

Wow. Who would have thought. A successful small business opportunity within one month?

I remember trading for this guy in Madden 08 when he was on the Raiders. Did he suck on the Raiders?

Last I remember, he was an automatic pass interference waiting to happen.

I remember the raiders gave him crazy money and then KC gave him crazy money. I think 20-25 mil guaranteed.
