Hoopshype has us at $47.8 million but the minimum team salary for the 2012-2013 season is $49.337 million. Does hoopshype have an incorrect number or are we actually under the minimum? If the Rockets are under the minimum, do you think they're going to make any additional small FA signings this season?

50,580,443 according to both Shamsports and ESPN (Trade Machine). 49,344,644 according to StoryTellersContracts.

Hoopshype is generally the worst place for salaries.

In the Rockets case they don't seem to account for the Fisher cap hit and both Asik's and Lin's salaries (cap hits) are off.

Not sure if you're just joking here, but I thought the penalty is basically distributing the difference among current players. i.e. each of our 15 guys get 1/15th of however much below the minimum we are.

But yeah, we're above it. If we were below it, I think there would be a good chance Livingston would be on this team right now to fill the difference.

Scola's salary not paid by Phoenix counts as far as minimum salary goes.
