nope. There are about 5 episodes in the entire series that are in BB territory, the rest don't come close.
After all the talk about the Governor last year I was expecting some one VERY evil. he seems very tame in the TV show and hardly a match for the Prison group. What happened in the comics?
Maybe we will get that Governor now that he has nothing to lose? He seemed like he had hope to keep everything very home feeling... i dont think he cares anymore about anything. esp. now that His daughter got killed infront of him.
they've really tamed the story from the comics because it would not fly on basic cable TV. and they've changed details of what happens to the characters in order to keep it from being too difficult to maintain from a production standpoint.
TWD is like Kevin Durant while BrBa is like Lebron James. TWD is great, and one of the best out there, but BB is the unquestionably the best.
Just started the episode. I really hope these new characters in the beginning wont be around long. I can tell they are terrible actors already.
Spoiler about the comic version, Michonne, Woodbury and the Governor. Spoiler After several months at the prison, Michonne, along with Rick and Glenn, were part of the group that went to investigate the crash of a helicopter. It was during their travel to find the source of the occupant's disappearance that she revealed parts of her past before the epidemic. When the trio stumbled upon the town of Woodbury, Georgia, Michonne became a tragic victim of a cruel and psychotic survivor named Phillip, the "Governor" of Woodbury. The Governor betrayed and captured them, violently raping and torturing Michonne to acquire the location of the prison. The Governor later attempted to toy with her skills and sent her into their stadium fights as a participant for the crowds, but she caused more trouble than satisfaction when Michonne proceeded to kill her opponent and the zombies with her Katana in a gladiator style tournament. When the others eventually escaped, Michonne remained behind and tortured the Governor by scooping his eye out and chopping his arm off before making her way back to the prison with the rest of the group. http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Michonne_(Comic_Series)
Unlike the prison group's cohesion and precision kills, the new group, and Tyreese, seemed wild-eyed, scared, and frazzled. They were still using hammers and had no real weapons? From all the previous talk, I expected the Tyreese character to be more of a badass. I was a little disappointed, but I'm sure he will get more fully developed as it progresses. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
Well Rick's group had tons of training... they had Gun range type of training from shane.... and those weapns were from the police station rick took from there... also they found the armory in the jail and got automatic weapons. I am more shocked with the chick with a shovel... clearly she could find something better.
Tyreese in the comics has been with Rick's crew for a lot long than this version. If he'd had have joined the TV series at roughly the same time as the comic, he would have been there near the end of the first season. Hammer thing is straight from the comics though.
great episode. Replace a black guy with another. I already hate the new black girl-shes annoying. Andrea needs to die. She's a r****d. Can't see any signs yet? Idiot. Does she really believe her group wanted to take over by murdering everyone?
Just nitpicking, but Michonne basically had their get out of jail card in her hands with his daughter. Could have led all of them out the front door AND still killed her in the end anyway. Agreed. The cliffhanger did it's job. Most people won't watch the preview carefulle enough anyway. They'll just keep both.
I was disappointed that the good looking girl had to be the one bitten. They should just put red shirts on anyone that is about to be killed off...
soooooo.... what are the chances that Axel guy rapes one of the girls? The way he was looking at carol... They should kill him quickly imo.
They RUINED Andrea's character. She's amazing in the comics. They took everything awesome about her and gave it to Daryl. I hope they do something cool with Tyreese. I dunno why T-Dawg was ever created in the first place. He's pretty useless. Urban flavor I guess? And yea, black girl is super annoying. Spoiler Makes it all the more satisfying when her arc ends...if you know what I mean. (I spoilered it just in case, but nobody actually believes black girl is gonna survive, do they?)
Maybe she will just give up and let herself die like the first one. Hey, this show does have a theme going with the black people...
This is more of the cliffhanger to me ... It seems like Rick is either going to a. leave the group or b. do something that will sacrifice himself for the group ? There is als the bit with Carl talking to his dad and says something about "you should stop being the leader" ?
At some point they will have to have a "Rick vs Carl" show down... perhaps inspired by ... Spoiler Herschel's younger daughter kissing Rick
