It's too early to laugh at the Lakers. Wait a while after Nash returns before you do that. He will make them better, though not a championship contender IMO. There is also the chance another team will trade for Pau and actually give them something better in return. Stranger things have happened. Look what they got for Bynum. Doesn't matter if the Lakers get a top 4 seed or not. They are capable of losing playoff games at home.

Pau is useless at this point, MDA needs to maybe experiment with a Hill/ Howard front court. Meeks imo needs to play more minutes behind Kobe.
Pau will continue logging heavy minutes. If he doesn't improve enough when Nash returns, the Lakers still have to avoid hurting his trade value by sitting him too much. Then again, if he continues to shoot 42% and play like a sissy, nobody will want him anyway. 2yrs/$38 million for a guy that is playing out the string. What team would pull the trigger and give up something worthwhile?

what's good about Hill/Howard? I think Pau may be done in LA, but I think Hill may be too. He's an ok player, but he doesn't make much sense in the system and the frontcourt doesn't look well when he's there.

They didn't lose the game because of hack-a-Dwight, they lost it because they allowed 30 points in the last 6 minutes. That's on pace for 240 points per game. And by the way, Dwight made 7/14 free throws once they started doing the hack a Dwight. That's ok. 1 point per possession. If you are the coach, you'd be nuts to take a 50% FT shooter out with 6 minutes left, when he's also your best defender.
He needs to take his ripping methods to new level too. Borderline kill Gasol and co. to get them to play better. Only way man.

Maybe it's just me being a pessimist. But it seems that when the Rockets ever play a "struggling" top team, they get beat. Hopefully that changes though. We really can use the exposure against a team casual fans follow.

Saw on Twitter that the Lakers gave up 31 points in 6 minutes to Orlando yesterday!!! If that's right, Hack-a-Dwight isn't the issue.
