Last year the organization chose McHale over Lowry. If Harden doesn't respond to McHale's coaching when he comes back, I expect they would do the same thing, despite the fact that Harden is max contract player.

Lol that's a new one. Stop being a troll, no way dragic/lee are better than Harden

Go look at lee's stats, he has been horrible. Harden is better than Dragic. In your scenario we literally traded Kmart, Lamb, and two first round picks (including torontos) for a some mid-low first round picks.

I don't think there anyway Harden is going to get traded unless it's for a top notch all star. Harden isn't even in his prime yet and is only going to get better. I think he's been playing pretty good. He certainly has areas where he can improve but he's only 23 years old. Morey finally got an all star player and is not going to trade him away. I don't think Lowry should be compared to Harden at all. Lowry is a good player but he's no where near as good as Harden is now or will be in the future.

You're right, why havent the lakers traded Kobe? The dude is a ball hog. I can't believe you just compared DMo and Jones to Durant and Westbrook. They are way better (I don't like westbrook that much but durant will be much better than both of them)

Harden is more important to this team than any other single piece. Including Mchale.

That's assuming the 18th and 23rd picks in the draft become dominant LOL!

And you just compared DMO and Jones to Durant and Westbrook LOL!

    I'll say it again....LOL!

To put how bad I think that trade is into perspective:

That would be like trading a ferrari & a Lamborghini for a Prius. I would rather be castrated with a rusty knife & forced to roll around in a tub of salt, than see that trade take place.

Houston sends Ppat to cleveland and TD to OKC
Houston recieves eric maynor and OKC 2nd

    Cleveland sends varejao to OKC
Cleveland recieves PPat from houston and perkins and Tor 1st from OKC

OKC sends eric maynor to houston and perkins and tor 1st to cleveland
OKC recieves varejao from cleveland and TD from houston

houston gets a backup young pg with potential

cleveland gets a young and solid pf in ppat and a great tor pick for trading varejao and swallowing perks contract

okc gets rid of perks horrible contract and maynor at the cost of tor 1st while upgrading the post severly in varejao

    thoughts?

i like it. maybe replace Toronto 1st with Lamb + Dallas pick. This makes sense for OKC, but I wonder if Varejao would pass their medical threshold, considering Tyson Chandler didn't.

He should....either would be a graet pick -up....Cousins is half way out of Sac anyways....

If Parsons really improves then you have a nice statring core moving forward.....an upgrade at the 1 or 3 wouldnt hurt after getting one of those guys...

    Lin or __________????
    Beard
    Parsons or Iggy/Chandler
    Cousins
    Asik

maybe add a future OKC pick Houston way too.

    something like
Houston: Pat, TD --> Maynor, OKC pick
Cle: Varejao --> Perkins, Pat, Lamb, Dallas pick
OKC: Maynor, picks, Perkins --> Varejao, TD

I just think with Varejao's injury history, potential mid-lotto pick+Pat is a bit high

Now that you say it lamb/dal 1st makes more sense value wise...

I think its a good return for cleveland...

I think houston woiod get the worst of the deal, essentially trading 2pat for a backup pg and a 2nd, but it addresses an area of need with an area of depth... i believe maynor could be pretty good...
