Lawson signed a 4 year, 12 million extension this past offseason and is putting numbers comparable to Lin all-around. Why does no-one b**** about his performance? He's no even coming off an off-season knee surgery.
Look at the bright side, Lin is now being compared to Jarret Jack instead of "a joke". Quite a generous upgrade by objectives fans, don't you think?
I don't just like Lin. I have also followed Harden's career - he has been one of my favorite players since his high school days like Lin. And since I started watching the Rockets this season, I've become a fan of Parson and Asik's. I also think PPat is coming into his own, and people here don't give him enough credit. Yes, I am still a Lakers fan but this Rockets team is slowly winning me over, especially after what the team did for coach McHale. Last night's game against the Jazz is actually won by the second unit, led by Delfino. The starters were able to hold on and push the game to a win against a tired Jazz team. Nothing to really celebrate about, except the win brings the team to .500, which is the same record as the Lakers. Congrats to the Rockets. It will be a really tough one for me on Tuesday as to which one to root for. Ha.
Just watched the game again. Both teams played poor defense last night. But the Jazz really tried to clamp down in the fourth and almost succeeded.
Yup many people in the national media have been quiet on Lawson. Darren Collison just lost his starting position to Derrick Fisher (unfairly in my opinion). I believe Isiah Thomas has also lost his starting spot to Aaron Brooks. Joe Johnson has been playing poorly & Deron Williams has been struggling a bit also. Everyone talks about Lin because it is backlash to previous exposure to be frank. The season is still really young way to small sample size for all players. It took over a month for NBA overall FG% to pick up last year. And this year thus far average NBA FG% is even lower than what it was last year in a lock out season.
Really well said. That's what I have been saying from day 1. You took the words out of my mouth and said it better. Props to you! Want to add that because Harden was added just before regular season started, the way Lin and Harden during the first two games showed how they would have played by themselves. And it's clear that they had no problem playing off each other. Then the adjustments started by the coaches to see how Harden can be best utilized with the whole team. (Remember they had already done that for Lin and other newcomers during the training camp and in the preseason.) And now one month and 16 games into the season everyone is getting more comfortable. Let's hope no more injuries or at least major injuries, so we can all watch this young exciting team grow together. It will be a fun year. Go Rockets.
Interesting. I don't know why I thought Lawson was having a good year. As of yesterday, he's averaging almost the same numbers as Lin. Lin 11.4 ppg, .393 fg%, .262 3pg%, 6.9ast, 2.1 stl, 3.0 TO, 4.6 rb Lawson 13.2 ppg, .404 fg%, .244 3pg%, 7.4 ast, 2.0 stl, 3.2 TO, 2.6 rb
They also talk about him because he's more famous. They write articles, positive or negative, because it gets eyeballs.
Yep, I have been following Lin since 2003 when he made the news in junior high dunking over taller kids. Really like your sig quote, it's one of my favorite books.
