I think he's simply been through too much over the past couple of months. He played post season college basketball, prepped for the combine, then played in the Olympics, then head into camp. All this for a guy who has been used to only playing a handful of basketball games a year.
In all reality with Charlotte and Washington, MKG and Beal filled theretofore real needs where Lilliard would not have. Hard to argue that Charlotte needed a PG as a 2nd overall to fill the role of their previous year's #9 pick (Kemba) especially knowing what they were seeing (that we are now seeing) out of that #9 pick, and even harder to argue that Washington needed a 3rd overall pick at the same position as John Wall. In both cases, considering Lilliard wasn't otherworldly (as some have been calling Davis), it was hard to argue how to define BPA for picks 2-7.
I remember defending Yao not being injury prone by saying they were freak accidents and would not recur again. But the guy kept getting hurt. But an ankle sprain is minor, and nothing to worry about. The most that can come from it is he becomes a hair slower.
Anthony Davis to remain sidelined http://espn.go.com/fantasy/blog/_/n...lanciunas-toronto-raptors-nice-buy-low-option Damian Lillard will be the best player in this draft.
This is nothing compared to Michael Jordan breaking his leg and missing an entire season in his 2nd year.
he's the best right now, considering health. But i don't think so, and don't think that he's going to improve much. And this draft has some awesome upside guys.
I hope the Hornets are just being cautious but he's still out. He's only played 6 out of the 15 games they've had this year. Seems like a really nice, good kid. Hopefully I'm just over analyzing and we can look back at this thread and laugh.
I know some of you guys gave me crap for suggesting this but ugh Anthony Davis hurt once again. I really have a bad feeling about him being injury prone. Seems like a really nice kid so again hopefully I'm off and it's just a rough start to his career. Hornets rookie Anthony Davis hurt against Kings http://sports.yahoo.com/news/hornets-rookie-anthony-davis-hurt-201810038--nba.html
Can these injury problems be because he is too frail? I hope once he bulks up these problems will be less of a common problem.
So not true. The Colts were extremely lucky (or unlucky whichever way you prefer to view it) to lose Peyton for the season at the right time. Just look at the Raiders, their luck has been far from being the same, with multiple high draft choices.
After reading some posts here i read the names Lillard and Oden. Seems like this time the Blazers ended up at the right side after the draft. Not like 1984(Sam Bowie) or 1997(Greg Oden). In case of Davis i agree with the most here. He needs to put some muscles. Some compared his injuries with the Yaos health problems. The problem with Yao was that he was playing for China every year.
I don't believe his injuries are due to his lack of size. Davis has actually added some size to his frame since being drafted. You will notice in his before and after pictures, that he's got some huge shoulders!
