Ah thanks, that makes sense. Smith set good picks for Lin on the right wing, opening up the lane for him. There were too many wasted fouls in one quarter -- fouls that were not used to contest shots. I remember at least three :TD reaching in, Morris reaching across to deflect a pass, Smith using both hands to push in the post. I like Morris but every time he is in, he uses his fouls poorly. The piled up team fouls resulted in Utah being in the bonus at the 7 minute mark! This is to be expected with inexperienced players, hopefully it gets better.
Harden isnt Tmac...jacking up shot after shot... when hes not feeling it hehehehe Harden is probably still sick... most people are taking 10 to 14 days to get rid of it
Obviuosly, I'm being premature but if Lin can keep playing like this (really since NYK game I'm seeing improvements every game - OKC game doesn't count ), and with the way everyone is playing, I can see this this team becoming awesome.. For the most part, They have been incredibly fun to watch.
Great team play from starters to bench. Glad we pulled out the win because at one point the jazz couldnt miss
Yea but that's also how harden got 6 assists in the 2nd half! But yea, more even playmaking this game. Having those "bridges" of Parsons and Delfino really really helps move the ball too.
I think the coaches have trusted him all along. It's up to Lin to be aggressive and to make the shots he takes.
Our Defense will continue to be bad until McHale comes back. If he comes back. I am wondering if Sampson even bothers coaching defense to be frank? Or is it that the team has been focusing so much on offense in practice that they haven't revisited there defensive fundamentals who knows? Also we tend to come out lethargic in the beginning of the first and third quarter.
Tweet from Houston Rockets.... Hey @SportsCenter, we have dunks from Harden, Asik & Smith that should be plays #1-3 on tonight's #SCtop10.
Great team win and closing out a tight game will do wonders for their confidence. Harden was unlucky with the foul calls so I'm not worried about his shooting/finishing, but his lack of effort on defense is a concern, hopefully it was just an off night. 5 TO looks bad on paper but one was that nonsense offensive foul from Foye. Everyone played well, Lin seemed to be running the floor a lot more tonight and I think he ran the offense well overall. He definitely looks a lot more explosive in terms of getting to the basket and finishing. As with Harden I think he got a couple of no calls, but at least the refs gave him a chance to show off his soccer skills. Parsons is approaching legendary status, I hope his heavy minutes didn't aggravate his injury and that he's good to go for the next game. Sampson's rotations still need serious work. As with earlier in the season he left the bench in for far too long in the 4th. We had a 10 point lead. Their starters come in and get going against the bench. And even though our starters came back in the momentum had already shifted. He needed to put Lin and Harden back in the game a lot earlier and at the latest when their starters came back in. The fact that the Rockets won and this thread is so short is quite telling.
Already back to .500, and we can see many of the players, and team chemistry, improving with each game. I think Rox have a decent chance at the 7th seed at the end of the season.
Yea Sampson said something about not spending enough time on defense in practice. It def shows. The rotations aren't quite as sharp anymore. That said, our offense has looked much much better in the last 5 games. Seeing a lot more screens, especially Parsons and tonight Delfino coming off screens. I would like to see some plays set for Harden - we need to get his outside shot going.
