Why dont we bring in Neimann and Wade Townsend too and the rice owls are back! Seriously though, decent move to add an arm we're surely going to need with all the poundings we take from the Rangers,A's and Angels in our division

This dude had a perfect game last year, we got ourselves an ace!::grin:
Lol I hope it turns out like Harrell, where we claim a pitcher from the white sox and he pitches well. We don't really have anything to lose, so I'm ok with this.

And with the 2014 first overall pick, the Houston Astros select......

Low risk move. Back of rotation guy in case some of the youngsters aren't quite ready out of spring training.

I've been watching Humber pitch for 10 years now. He's got the stuff. He needs to improve his mental focus and stay healthy. He has upside -- I wouldn't write this off as a complete waste. Coming closer to home can't hurt, either

9-9 3.75. Nice back end of the rotation with AL experience. Low risk high reward

bigtexxx showing his pull. Lunch with Luhnow, followed by Astros signing an Owl.

Got an arm, potentially high upside, certainly worth a look.

Not really holding anybody back, after Keuchel, Harrell, Norris and Lyles the 5th spot is wide open.

Cosart, Olberholtzer, Seaton and Cisnero still haven't proven themselves at AAA yet.

Rudy Owens might get a shot in spring training, not sure whats up with Kyle Weiland.

Disagree. I watched him pitch several times last season, including his perfect game, and his stuff really isn't that impressive. The perfect game was a fluke.

    Hope I'm wrong though!

After all the injuries he only has average stuff.

Perfect game a fluke? That's one hell of a fluke to pull out of one's ass.

No such thing as a perfect game in the big leagues . . .it's not necessarily a sign of things to come, or a sign of dominance long term . . .but you go 27 up and 27 down in the show, you pitched a hell of a game

The perfect game was no fluke. He simply pitched the game of his life. Outside of that game though, he has been very mediocre. Hopefully he will remain healthy and a change of scenery will do him some good.
