[2012] College Football Week 14: Conference Championships

Alabama got robbed. The pass was not tipped and they should have had a 1st down by penalty. Georgia up 21-10 about the blocked FG return.

 

Georgia should have been awarded a penalty as well on that QB hit.

 

Georgia defense can't hold these guys after scoring.

 

I thought Georgia celebrated way too much on the sideline after the blocked FG. I had a feeling Alabama would come storming back. Unless they turn the ball over, Alabama has this.

 

I guess we'll see if Murray has huevos.

 

uh, why didn't Georgia spike it? dumb.

 

The coach should be fired for that last sequence alone.

 

If you're not going to spike it you have to atleast throw it in the endzone. If that ball wasn't tipped he wasn't getting out of bounds or scoring a TD

 

That was so incompetent at the end, wow.

UGA fans shouldn't blame Murray. He wasn't the one that gave up over 300 yds on the ground

 

It seemed like the throw was going for the enzone but got deflected and wound up being way way short.

 

Commentator said it was suppose to be a back shoulder throw to the outside receiver who was crossing the goal line when the throw was made, ball was tipped and the inside receiver instinctively goes for the ball. If inside receiver would have spiked the ball to the ground that would have given Georgia another play.

 

Great game, bummer ending - too bad that Bama got a gift field goal at the end of the first half due to the obvious helmet to helmet hit on Murray that was not called. I'm hurting bad over this one and it will be a LOOOOONG time before I get over it.

 

In hindsight, yes, but there's not a single receiver in the nation who would've understood the circumstances enought o deliberately drop the ball.

Georgia should have spiked it, but that's easy to say in retrospect.

Great, great game all around, not too many penalties. SEC football is pretty incredible.

 

A wide receiver spends his entire career practicing to catch a ball when it's coming at him, and has caught probably thousands of balls in practice and games. I would be willing to bet a LOT of WRs would have caught that ball out of reflex.
