Keyword: SEEM Lin doesn't seem strong... Lin doesn't seem quick... Lin doesn't seem tall... Just tired of hearing all of this **...
Another oversensitive nuthugger. Nothing he said was offensive for God's sake. Lin does have small hands compared to some of the other elite PG's, he can't palm a basketball.
Just read this great article on D'Antoni. Gives great insight into the system that Lin played under when he was with the Knicks. http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/51996/the-book-on-mike-dantoni Does he rely on systems, or does he coach ad hoc to his personnel? Throughout his career, D'Antoni has demonstrated a fundamental devotion to his system, one that preaches attacking immediately, spreading the floor and forcing defenses to react instantly. Players who can't shoot, move the ball, make quick decisions or aren't in condition to run the floor won't see big minutes for D'Antoni, who isn't all that interested in compromising his system to accommodate these shortcomings.
While there are no published measurements for Hand size, there is a very high correlation (0.617/0.618) between foot length (shoe size) and hand length. http://medind.nic.in/jae/t05/i2/jaet05i2p55.pdf For some points of reference... here are some PG shoe sizes. (Bet you didn't know there is an actual database for this...) http://www.slamonline.com/online/nb...s-slam-kicks-sneakers-slam-footwear-database/ Jeremy Lin : 12 Kyle Lowry : 12 Goran Dragic : 12 Derrick Rose : 12.5 Mike Conley : 12.5 Tony Parker : 11.5 Ricky Rubio : 12 Jrue Holliday : 13 Russell Westbrook : 14.5 Chris Paul : 12.5 Steve Nash : 11.5 Size 12 is actually towards the average, so assuming a normal correlation, Lin's hands would be average.
http://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/anthony-davis/ For the 2012 draft, NBA.com had the measurements of many players and you could compare them to certain active players. Thought it was pretty cool. I don't think they had this in previous years.
I start wondering how old are you and what is your profession and what do you do in your spare time. You apparently live in Toronto, Canada. hmmm
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>According to Synergy, the Houston Rockets have the 6th best isolation defender in the NBA….Jeremy Lin.</p>— Quentin Haynes (@QHaynesNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/QHaynesNBA/status/274197397364670464" data-datetime="2012-11-29T17:05:28+00:00">November 29, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Funny thing is, people on Twitter either don't believe it or they give the credit to Asik.
Well, he does smartly funnel the players he's guarding into Asik (help defense). I doubt any PG can rank so high in iso defense without a great post defender behind him. But I also doubt many PGs could utilize Asik as smartly as Lin has, to take away the angles etc.

Lin plays perimeter defense EXACTLY the way Battier did. It's too bad he isn't getting the same credit for it.
