This is what you want: "I want to see James Harden vs. Wade and Parsons vs LeBron." This is what you paid for: "If I bought tickets to a Rockets vs. Heat game at the Toyota Center" This is what you say: "I watch Rockets basketball because I find the game entertaining. Win or lose I still watch it." But this is what you mean: "I watch James Harden and Parsons basketball because I find the game entertaining. Win or lose I still watch it. " And heypartner done gone full r****d in this thread. He can't make a cohesive argument based on facts. He sounds a lot like Woody Paige, who made exactly the same arguments as heypartner.
I'm a Rockets fan and if I buy tickets for the Heat vs. Rockets at the TC and LeBron, Wade and Bosch all stay in Miami then great. It's a chance for me to see a Rockets win!
it's funny how people are operating with some weird "precedent" notions as if the NBA is some dumb XII century judicial system.
You want to see an entertaining basketball game? You should go and watch the Spurs/Heat game from last night. You want to watch a boring basketball games (unless you are a Thunder fan), go watch the the Rockets/Thunder game from 2 nights ago. Maybe I'm weird, but I'm a Rockets fan, and I want to see the Rockets win more than anything when watching a Rockets game. When watching any other NBA game I want to see a close game. Based on your comments, you clearly preferred the Thunder/Rockets over Spurs/Heat.
I wonder if Pop played his starters for 1 minute and then subbed them all out for the rest of the game, would he still have received that fine.
Apparently they do. I wonder if they have to submit a copy of their playbook to the opponent as well.
You have to understand. The Heat have no superstars. They were selling their fans on getting the opportunity to see Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Danny Green.
Because Miami was the one selling tickets to fans- based on the premise that the Spurs wouldn't treat it like a preseason game. They're the ones that are technically going to have to deal with irate customers.
Woj just destroyed David Stern I doubt that it wasn't already on Pop's decision thread, but it really deserves own thread for sure http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--d...RhaWQDBHBzdGNhdANuYmEEcHQDc2VjdGlvbnM-;_ylv=3
How many ticketholders complained to the Miami Heat? 1? 2? 0? Those few fans that were unhappy, wouldn't complain to the Heat.
I remember when Donaghy claimed that the Kings/Lakers playoffs series was lengthened by the front office's message that it would be in the "league's best interest" if the series was extended to 7 games. What Stern has been doing lately, ambiguous bull**** crap, like "basketball reasons" and "going against the best interests of the league", is reinforcing all the shady crap the NBA has tried to cover over the years.
They have another 4 games in 5 night situation I believe, and I hope this time Pops plays his starters for 1 min and sits them out the rest of the way.
I guarantee you he will, it will just either involve fake injuries or playing a ridiculously low amount of minutes. The result will be the same but the delivery method will change.
