I still don't understand the outrage. We still don't know whats going on behind closed doors, except maybe that he isn't tweeting as much.

Guys, we put our chips on the table. The first few hands aren't going our way, so you want to fold and walk away?

Maybe we lose, maybe Royce never sets foot on a basketball court again. So what, at least we have what it takes to put it on the line. And if Royce ever DOES make it, you guys will be lining up to sing his praises, watch his highlights and fervently follow his twitter.

His oft repeated promise to just walk away speaks volumes about his chances of ever playing in the NBA.

He needs an attitude adjustment, first and foremost, then we can talk about his chances.

Royce has vastly over-estimated the supports that he could rally by disclosing his mental illness issues. I think he had some really poor advice from people around him.

Royce White is a guy who evidently hasn't surrounded himself with good advisers. This is a result of not being reprimanded early on in life, this is a result of not being disciplined and basically setting his own rules through life. It has nothing to do with mental illness. He reminds me of my 6 year old when he doesn't get enough sleep or has to much sugar or I haven't disciplined him in awhile. Unfortunately Royce White must learn the hard way and squander his potential...because it's his right...I guess. Hopefully he won't end up under a bridge in the next 30 years. Lesson's of Life are undefeated...

What people are saying about Royce today are exactly what they said about him in college. We should extinguish any hope we have for this young man.

Uhm, no. He may be good but he is not elite. And yes his skill set is Globetrotters elite.

His "mental illness" is the psych equivalent of a career-denying knees.

Whatever this guy's deal is, I hope its resolved soon. Updates would be nice. All I keep reading are his tweets and articles on how the Rockets aren't compensating for his mental illness.

Y'all don't read much around here do you. This has been asked and answered roughly 419 times. He never missed a game in college. And you could look up his college stats, too, to find out for yourself.

now rep me b****es for helping :p

I suggested #4, play local games only, a long time ago. He's likely only getting spot minutes. If he does well, he gets more minutes and his enthusiasm and confidence goes up and his issues might recede. If not.... whatever!
