Oh ****. I totally screwed up my post. See below. I fixed it. "Nice find Arthur. I thought the reason his shots were falling short was because of lift. Now that I think about it his arc is insane. From what I have been hearing he has been working crazy hard on his shooting so hopefully he gets to put it to use against Utah. I am crazy excited for that game. Also apparently he has been eating with his left hand & bathing with his left hand as well. For all those interested you should listen to Rocketscast live today Jason & Craig were really interesting. Talk about Rockets & NBA stuff in general I still think this left hand thing is a tad bit overplayed there are a lot of ways around it. But what I do I know I am not a coach.
Angle of shot. Too much vertical forces vs. lateral force. Too much spin on the ball. Long fingernails. Greasy palms. Or the most likely reason - a bad shooting coach
Really? Jason/Craig are usually pretty inarticulate/ignorant so I stopped watching/listening Rocketscast.
Woah a little harsh don't you think. Why do you feel this way? I don't agree with everything they say but for the most part they give insight into the team that we normally wouldn't get.
I listened to the first few and found that they weren't offering much insight at all. If I could search my posts in here, I could point to which cast it was and what specifically was said - cause I remember commenting pretty harshly here about it. This was early in the pre-season though. They didn't know anything about the rotation. Jason kept repeating the same things over and over again - saying things he'd already written days ago for the Rockets website. Craig actually doesn't seem to know his basketball AT ALL which was surprising. Maybe it was cause they were just starting it up - are they in a better flow now? More information to offer us?
Jason and Craig are more articulate and better informed on the Rockers than several of the local radio guys (looking at you, 610) and the national talking heads (after Parsons's 31 pt game vs Knicks, Stephen A Smith said "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO CHANDLER PARSONS IS!").
you're overthinking it. for example. our top 2 players are NOT greg smith and tony douglas see? easy.
Listen to next weeks Rocketcast & you tell me what you think of them right now. I find them decent. I can't remember that far into pre-season to know whether they were good or not.
ROFL. Do you even know what an assist is and how you get one? I'll give you a clue, it's not a defensive stat. SMH.
Stephen A Smith said "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO CHANDLER PARSONS IS!" Some of "Old Rocket Fan" hate Lin so much. Please take one second think through this, without Lin, we will hardly get a any chance letting people know us.
Well SAS isn't really an authority people should be watching/listening to EVER. Guys like Zach Lowe or the guys from Hardwood Paroxysm or even Hollinger picked up on how great Parsons was playing from the very beginning of this season (though they might not have predicted such an offensive explosion from Parsons). I think the guys at TBJ were fans of him too. Roxxy - I'll listen (watch?) to the Rocketcasts from this week later. Thanks! The more sources of info, the better.
We do know what's worse: the LOHs. They make up "facts" out of thin air and use them to dump on Lin. LOFs, on the other hand, typically back up their arguments with numbers and stats.
That doesn't mean the baiter shouldn't suffer. Make him look like a moron; then maybe he'll be a little more sensible next time.
