Kevin Durant's thoughts on OKC's defense last night...

    http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/durant-thunder-too-much-road-weary-rockets

Lin didn't score alot of points because his best option was to take advantage of the double team by Passing to his team mates and trusting they could turn a 4-3 mismatch into points.

The rest of the Rockets tried to do that.

It's why Cook, Asik and Patterson had a ton of shots with many open looks. Unfortunately, this is an area where Parsons' absence showed. Cook does not pack the same offensive punch as Parsons, nor is he the same type of distributor as Parsons.

If Parsons is in the game OKC would need to respect his offense and have to play Harden and Lin a bit looser, allowing more shot opportunities and driving lanes.

What the Rockets lacked on the roster last night was enough legitimate scoring threats to adequately punish OKC for their Harden/Lin centric defense.

You didn't take inflation, QE1,2,3 into consideration.

Yes, needed Parsons for his defense against KD. Lin did fine with Westbrook, but OKC has too many scoring options. Martin off the bench too.

    Its the injuries.

    Delfino could have help us.

But one of the biggest loss is Parsons.

He was tough to play the whole game yesterday even though he was injured.

i thought we played well considering Harden had a bad night and Parsons was out. But when you're playing Dequan Cook for 38 minutes, what do you expect. Parsons and Delfino would have kept it more competitive, but you're not gonna beat a team like OKC if your star player has a bad night. I'm proud of our 7-8 record.

Lin was doing a great job setting up PPatt and Asik last night while getting trapped 10 feet above the arc. Moreover, he played good D against Westbrook, staying in front of him and corralling him toward help D.

I do wish he would have been more aggressive. But I realize his shooting confidence isn't the highest right now, so he played within the flow of the offense and took what the defense gave him (Asik/PPatt) without forcing anything.

That said, OKC wasn't biting on shot fakes, wasn't willing to let him penetrate. Would have liked to see him take 2-3 more jumpshots to keep the defense honest. Very minor quibble.

Look, the players were probably walking zombies after playing Toronto, getting to the Minny hotel @ 2 a.m., waking @ 8, going to the funeral, then flying to OKC for a game against one of the best teams in the league. With no Parsons or Delfino.

Agreed, he needs to drive more to the basket, even if he was double teamed. He needs to create chances, let them foul him, but I suspect he worries his leg.

lol talk about a reach. you are reading into this way too much. If I was a tebow hater or a Lin hater, I would just say they suck after a crappy performance. I don't think "haters" think it through that much. Like they're finding a way to subliminally get Lin to fail by saying he needs to shoot more. Uhhh what?!? Like Lin would listen to any advice on a basketball forum? Or by the more people saying he needs to be more aggressive, that triggers something in him to force bad plays. It's ridiculous what you're saying.

A "hater" will be vocal about it, they want people to hear their opinions. They're not sitting there trying to be subliminal and sneaky about it. You are thinking way too much about this. Save your energy.

I think people genuinely do want Lin to be more aggressive. Is that really a bad think to want? Being aggressive doesnt just mean you need to shoot more. Fans act like Lin doesn't know how to get buckets. Did anyone see Linsanity last year? He can score. I don't think anyone is hating when they say they would like to see Lin be more aggressive. Being aggressive shows confidence and that's all he needs to get his game going.

Yep I checked, Lin averaged 26 mins while Jack averaged 34mins --- raw numbers are similar despite the fact that Lin averaged 8 less mins. Your point?

Look, I can understand people being haters, but at least be a good one, make some effort to actually check the stats, make sure you got your facts right. This is too easy and way too common in the GARM right now, haters like you would pull some random stats out of your arses and claim victory to yourself.

    Try again.

Yeah Asik is our 2nd best player as far as I'm concerned; with Parson's a close 3rd. Lin doesn't make my top 5 best players on the roster.

You should post this on the Lakers forum and watch yourself get laughed at by everyone and then banned for trolling their forums.

Telling you man you should just create a Linsanityforums that way everyone on there would be only supportive of Lin. If he gets traded anywhere, he will still have haters. Your posts are aren't helpful either, it makes the haters attack more because it's stupid.

Asik is a close 2nd and Lin's 3rd. As much as I love Parsons, just like everyone else on the roster besides Harden/Lin, he can't create shots efficiently. He has shown promises and he's a willing passer, but so far he's strictly a slasher and a spot up shooter.

Sorry bro, Lin is a rocket and will be for the time being. Get the F out if you don't like the Houston Rockets or deal with it.
