this guy is the reason rockets lost, he should have cancel the game between the rockets vs thunder game because of the situation (mchale funeral and no rest for the rockets because of two flight)... just like new york vs nets because of the storm although the disaster is much bigger the situation that the rockets have is valid and humane.

I never hate any player in Houston Rockets when Lin is here.
Harden is still a great player despite he had a bad game.

Exactly, and great analysis. Parsons would have been a huge help, and you have to think that with him and with a rested team we would've had a fighting chance in this game. To Patterson's and Asik's credits, they went off and played as good of games as you could reasonably expect, but the wing play was just too bad. Harden too exhausted from 44 minutes the night before and all the flights, Cook too generally terrible, and no defense at all.

OKC's gameplan is a lot iffier if you have a hot shooting Parsons like the one who went off for 31, and him slowing Durant down on the other end.

I don't understand why people are responding to this nonsense. There isn't a chance in hell that Rockets make that trade because they value Lin quite a bit right now. And what's the Laker's biggest problem right now? The lack of a half-decent starting PG to run the floor. One of the things Lin has showed time and time again that he excels at this season. So why in the world would any Rockets' fan want a trade that turns us into the fakers - all the superstars?

Even if you're a Lin fan, it just reflects poorly to make this kind of post which is really akin to trolling now.

Give it time, Lin and the team are figuring out their chemistry and I think Sampson will come around to trusting him more in time, or McHale will return and he seems to have made all the right sounds in that regard.

The best thing you can do is just put the trolls like Spiegel on ignore. Trust me, it'll make your enjoyment of the Rockets a lot more stress free.

Nice post as always. You should post more analysis of the game like this.

Did anyone really expect to win this game. Parson out.

Forget about this game. We were leading the league in fatigue and funerals attended yesterday. Should have been wearing black uniforms.

This is just an L on a stat sheet.

McHale is the one who really had a loss.

Put it in perspective. Learn. Move on.

coach must go with rookies more often with Delfino and Parson back or the team won't hold the fatigue!

We have so many injured players it is not even funny anymore.

At the same time our youth is showing.

It was a loss and we just have to move forward.

Not even mad about this loss. Parsons was out and the defense was keyed in on our backcourt. Perkins and Ibaka was actually hitting every shot. Whatever.

I agree. A few times he passed the ball and hide at the corner and watched his teammates struggle. He seemed scared in the first half. Not aggresive at all.

Harden was handling the ball most of the first half.

Do you think he can do a lot with harden being the playmaker?

Our young team put up a good fight despite their legs being gone, Parsons out and Harden not shooting well. OKC is a great team and they devoted their defense to our backcourt, so not surprised to see the young guys struggling. Look at the number of FTs the team missed, it's one of the most telling signs that the Rockets are dead tired. Didn't expect a close game either with Parsons being out, that's how important he is to the team now.

I thought Harden played okay despite a bad shooting game, forced things a little bit but he knew when to stop. Lin played good D, passed the ball well but he needs to be more of a scoring threat and to step up when Harden's cold and Parson's out. He needs to learn and adjust and not be taken out of games that easily. I don't know how some of you guys can defend him with just 7 shot attempts in 40 minutes because he had no space to shoot.

I'm really impressed by Asik and he seems to be improving offensively with every game. Patterson shot the ball well, but I'm still not a fan of his game. He needs to improve on his overall D and rebounding.

I just thought it's a pity we couldn't get this game for Harden.

Harden wasn't mentally there for this game, I think he tried to downplay the game too much and it back fired. He was trying to play too nonchalant when every one on OKC was attacking him. I'm sure the next time we meet OKC Harden will be playing with intensity and Parson will hold down the Durantula.

No I wouldnt call it passive, 99% of guards in this league would give up the ball right away when double teamed including the likes of CP3/DWill. Rondo and Nash are probably the only 2 PGs that are constantly facing double teams but still managed to be effective, especially Rondo --- but to be able to do that, you need absolutely elite handles.

    Here's a quote from Durant:

And they did. It was frustrating as hell.

According to the Coach Sampson, Chandler Parsons may be the best player on the team.

He has been the last 5 games or so. He is steadily improving. We really need him to get better.
