I'll be honest I watched him for four years at Florida and had no clue he had this much NBA potential... I admittedly didn't see every college game he played and did see him improve over time, but I thought he was more likely an end of the bench player.
That bum Bargarbage ended the Rocket's win streak, freaking bum! Hope it's nothing serious and Parsons is ready to go next game after the 2 days of rest. Also hope it doesnt affect his shooting touch. He is THE glue guy, without him the whole offense falls apart!
I didn't know he was injured until I started to watch the game, which I had to watch late on the DVR. As soon as I heard the news, I thought we were doomed tonight. A back to back, the trip for the service in between, and then Chandler out against a team that went to the Finals last season? Doomed, thought I, and we were. Parsons is a key part of this young team. I hope it isn't anything serious, or we're going to struggle.
It means he can't raise his upper arm past 45 degrees. This sequence starts at 0 degrees and ends at 90, so right in between is 45 degrees.
Sorry I posted on the wrong thread. Chandler Parsons to have MRI on shoulder http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2012/11/chandler-parsons-to-have-mri-on-shoulder/
It's hard to understand why they called back Motiejunas to play two minutes each game. This guys is fast and tall, he might play SF as well, just need to improove defense at this point. But as Durant is unguardable Motiejunas had to be the best option to guard him, with that size on him KD would get difficult shots and it's the best thing you can do for now. What do you think guys? Sure, it late to diskuss as game is ended, but let's try
On the current Rockets team, there are 4 players indispensable players. Harden, Asik, Parsons and Lin. If one goes down, and we're playing a playoff team or better, we'll probably lose. Harden for scoring, Asik for defense, Parsons for glue guy (and perimeter defense), and Lin for playmaking (and because the alternative is Douglas). It is a tight rope. It may look like we have enough scoring, but take away Harden drawing double-teams and spacing the floor, we won't score 95. Take away Asik, and we'll lose the rebounding battle 90% of the time, and it'll be a layup drill. Take away Parsons, we lose a bit of everything and have no real defender for the best 2/3 players in the league. And take away Lin, we'll turn into iso ball, and get to watch TD wave his arms around a lot on D and throw up his own pray-to-Jesus shots (which is pretty much every shot that he has to create). We need Parsons back, and our top 4 players to stay healthy.
lol nice one, he really threw some ugly shots last night, i know i should mad about it, but i actually laugh out loud.
So it WAS a bone bruise. Man, now if I could just predict those powerball numbers! Get better soon, Chandler!
YUP. Parsons is the glue that keeps this team together. His defense, his movement off-the-ball, his perimeter shooting, his rebounding, ability to handle the ball and run the fast break, and his leadership are all crucial to this team. As much as Harden/Lin are the faces of this team, Parsons is the heart of the Rockets. He embodies everything this team aspires to be. Last night when Harden/Lin were getting trapped, Parsons would have been the perfect 3rd facilitator/shot creator and would have moved for the pass as soon as he saw the double team coming. Instead, we got Harden/Lin trapped and the other guys sorta standing around. Miss you Parsons... COME BACK QUICKLY!!
Just a bone bruise. Precautionary MRI is getting done today. Already listed day-to-day. So not bad at all.
I started clutchfans account once I seen they drafted him. Gator/Rocket fan, I always believed in him and he's been fav player since college. In college he didn't score as much because he was too much of a team player. Everyone always thought he should shoot more, he always been a clutch shooter and filled in what area the team needed
How long do you think he'll be out? Because Delfino is still out. I don't mind them playing Cook. But I don't want Cook to get a lot of minutes again.
That's what day to day means. Any day now, he'll recover and be back in the lineup. If I had to guess, Parsons MIGHT miss the game against the Jazz on the 1st, but it's highly unlikely he'd miss the game against the Lakers on the 4th as well.
