So sad....I told everybody on here and even tweeted Morey to trade for this guy in the off season and now with steady minutes (32.9/game). Mullens is avg. 13 ppg and a solid 9 rpg. He is prolly playing like this since this is the last year on his contract. Since we are not getting any help in the paint when Asik goes out. Dude only making $2,253,062 this year and is only 23 but I guess we would have to settle for Aldrich and Smith....SSSSSIIIIGGGGHGHHHH 2012-13 Regular Season GP 14 MPG 32.9 FGM-FGA 4.9-12.9 FG% .383 3PM-3PA 1.6-5.4 3P% .293 FTM-FTA 1.7-2.3 FT% .750 RPG 8.4 APG 1.3 BLKPG 0.9 STLPG 1.1 PFPG 2.6 TOPG 1.4 PPG 13.1
Is this a joke? Center with FG% .383 and 3pt% .293 that chucks up 5.4 per game. And plays no defense. Mullins is horrible and doesn't help his team.
So his 13 ppg and 8 rpg is not helping a 7 - 7 team??? Sir you are ignorant!!! What is Aldrich and Smith doing for this team???
damn phone, Sry. his points aren't helping if he scores with such a disastrous percentage. ever heard something about efficiency and getting the ball in the hands of the best option?
OP, if 38.3% on 13 shots per game (while jacking up 5 3-pointers) doesn't convince you what Mullens is all about, you are easily impressed. If the Bobcats are 7-7 with a 3rd-string C playing 33 mins/game, what would they be with a decent C? IMO, they are the surprise story of the NBA so far.
Mully is not the Cats' starting 5 (or play the 5 at any other time during his MPG). He's our starting 4 and he's been greenlighted by his coach to shoot from three provided he's pulling down boards. Sometimes stats do lie.
Just a stiff who cranks threes on a team with no other options at his position. This guy is so bad Bobcats fans do mocking MVP chants at home games. Yes, all 4 of them do the chant.
Have you actually watched this dude play? I don't entirely blame Mullens for his poor shooting efficiency, because I get the vibe that Dunlap is telling him to keep jacking em up. On a team with a real NBA starter at the 4, Mullens doesn't get a third of the burn he's getting now. Too much of the Charlotte's offense is running through him, partly for lack of better options. Glad I'm not a Bobcat's fan. 2012-13 Reg Season To Date:
Those midrange and 3-9 ft percentages are so garbage. They're DeMarcus-like. Ideally, you want your bigs to have at least this (this is Brook Lopez's chart): And then if the center has that foundation but can also shoot 3's at a high percentage, go nuts. Play the inside out game. But this guy is just a soft perimeter 7 footer with no game at the rim. The worst kind of 7 footer.
Vorped.com has some really nice shot charts. Exactly what I've been looking for. Adding to my sig, and thanks for posting that image.
Thank you for using Brook Lopez....cause in the offseason I was screaming that we should sign Lopez but everybody was saying he plays no defense and he is soft...IDK mayne....everybody is just stuck in his or her ways to the the point that I might say will not register!!!
